  1. Scratch my first entry. I want this song.
  2. I agree we have no good venues in Binghamton, not the best music scene. I think our musical highlight this year is Huey Lewis playing at a golf course. I haven't been to the State Theatre but I agree that the Landmark would be good. I saw Springsteen acoustic at the Landmark and I remember that I really liked the acoustics of the building. I guess I should be content that they came to Rochester and are coming to Buffalo within 8 months. 2 upstate NY shows in less than a year.
  3. I think Binghamton, NY would be a kickin' place for a Wilco show. We are centrally located near many major metropolitan areas.
  4. Pandora rocks. It is great for long drives when I am too lazy to make playlists for my Ipod, which is much of the time. It may be the only cool app I have for my Blackberry.
  5. Lawn Seats are still available for purchase through the venue's website - Artpark
  6. Jay - Rest in Peace - We are lucky to have the music you made.
  7. Yeah, I saw that. Please trust me that if Wilco ever is the mainstage act at the local hot air balloon festival or at a LPGA event or if Jeff Tweedy ever does this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1tLzUlK4EI then I will put a gun in my mouth and pull the trigger because that isn't a world I want to know or want to live in.
  8. - when you drive 9 hours one way through 4 states to see Wilco and almost hit a gigantic wild turkey the size of a sasquatch somewhere in the dark heart of West Virginia - when the Via Chicago site is minimized on your desktop at work and checked every 30 seconds just to see if anyone has reacted to your inane comment that Wilco and Hootie and the Blowfish have a lot in common (or is that a collection of separate issues?) - committing as much time, energy, research to getting good Wilco tickets as your "normal" coworkers commit to Fantasy Football leagues - culminating that time, energy, and r
  9. She's A Jar Jesus, etc. Sunken Treasure
  10. Does anyone else sense a strong Hootie and the Blowfish influence in this album?
  11. long term lurker - new poster Deeper Down = kicks ass Wilco the Song = rocked up more than expected Everlasting = made my wife cry I'll Fight = caused a marital dispute = I loved it = my wife said it reminded her of Cameron in Ferris Bueller's Day Off (I'll go, I'll go, I'll go)??? Bull Black Nova = fits comfortably in the Wilco subgenre that also includes Via Chicago and She's A Jar = I call it "Misogyny that makes me happy because it is so damn catchy" Country Disappeared = my favorite
  12. Impossible Germany heard overhead while shopping at a Wegmans Food Market near Binghamton, NY.
  13. My wife and I are attending - Front Row Center. I bought other tickets through the presale and then gave it another shot during the regular sale. I was in a meeting at work pretending to be learning a new program we are rolling out and I kept throwing back for Front Row on my laptop. It was very difficult to keep a straight face when Orchestra Center Row 1 came up. This is our 3rd Wilco concert - Rochester last December was our first, and we just roadtripped 18 hours (roundtrip) to the Athens, Ohio. Plus, we saw Tweedy acoustic in NoHo. The Rochester show made me a believer and I convinc
  14. Have 2 Tickets for Buffalo show on 7/19 - Grand Tier Left, Row G, seats 3&5 (next to each other). I got these on presale, then decided to take a chance on the regular sale and got 1st row! I'll sell the pair for $70. To see a picture of where the seats are, click here http://www.artpark.net/content/images/media/img011.jpg The seats in the link are on the right side, mine are the same seats but on the left. The best thing about the seats is that there will be no one standing in front of you. If interested pls email me at jeff_monahan@yahoo.com.
