I wonder if any of the former band members might appear at some point doing this tour? The Allman Brothers invited Dickey to play some shows with them last spring, so I suppose anything is possible.

I'd like to see one of those shows. There is a page for the upcoming album on Amazon, but no track list yet.

He puts out a lot of stuff. It sounds pretty cool. The Black Crowes Oxford, Mississipi "Live from the Artists Den" concert taping at the Lyric Theatre will air on public television this summer 2010.

The format has definitely changed. I don't think most people my age (mid-40s) would want to hear songs from the 50s, or 60s really, they would probably rather hear Huey Lewis and The News tunes. We have a so-called Classic Rock station here, and I think they play heavier stuff (Boston, AC/DC, etc.) I still think it depends on the time of day. I mean, it's not like disc jockeys really choose the songs anymore, it's all automatic by way of a computer system.

Wilco Archive Update – June 18 2010

It's nice to hear once again that they are done with overdubbing (for the time being). I have not picked up the new record yet. I plan to soon. The song at the end of that video sounds like Green Onions by Booker T. and The MG's. Or, at least the guitar part does. Lefsetz has a pretty good post about the new album.

He just did some shows in Japan with Eric Clapton (December 1991). There is a live album from the shows - Live in Japan.

I am trying to recall if I have a memory of music that far back (age five). I believe it would be the following - various Beatles Capitol 45s, Shimmy Shimmy Ko-Ko Bop, Reach Out (I'll Be There), and The Beach Boys (Little Deuce Coupe and Today). When I was 6, it would have been School's Out, and Smoke On The Water.

Good stuff.

I've read a lot about that guy on Ross Halfin's website, but never really heard any of his music. Also - check out these dudes: Led Zepagain After doing some more reading, the powers that be have decided that the recently posted Bath Festival show is a new source. Check out these TCV posters.

That is true, there are all sorts of age variations. I think the Oldies station here, which is broadcast from somewhere else, mainly plays 60s music on the weekends.

Maybe it depends on the time of day, but when I listen to the oldies AM station here, they really only play songs from the 70s and 80s. That is about the only radio I will listen to, outside of the BBC online. There is a station in Pittsburgh that plays Doo-wop and 50s music. It is pretty cool, but I don't see how they stay in business. I actually tuned in to the college station here for the first time in years the other day. I did not like what I heard, but that is mostly due to the fact that I really only like to listen to so-called old music. I would think some of those songs for ki

The Hunter as recorded by Booker T & the MGs with Albert King.

Some dudes on the Zeppelin message board are not so sure it is something new. (The seeder is firewalled, so it is going to take a while to get this show.)
-
A new source just popped up for Zeppelin's 1970 Bath Festival performance at Dime a Dozen. I prefer the 1970-1973 years, so I am grabbing it.

I have heard nothing about a release. The last thing I saw was a 15 camera (AUD shot) mix.

What do you think of the Black Country stuff?

He keeps saying he is going to put out some new music, but he never does. Meanwhile, Jason is doing some sort of tribute tour, and has a new band with Joe Bonamassa and Glenn Hughes. Black Country Communion

That's it. They were also rubbing it on their teeth.

Doh! Poisoner's Handbook It had something to do with some sort of paint, I think.

What is the deal where the people are playing with something in a factory - and they begin to fall apart? I could not recall - and I was trying to tell someone about it. Hearts in Atlantis is another book that is connected to The Dark Tower. They only used part of the book in the movie (Low Men in Yellow Coats)

Good point - I think of that every time I read Shakey. (My tickets arrived in the mail today. Considering how much they cost, they should have been wrapped in gold.)

I think he has changed somewhat over the last few years. Maybe I just got somewhat of a bad view of him from reading to much into some things he has written over the years.
