Yes, Romney, Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, etc. can talk about religion, abortion, how gay people are going to hell, so-called family values, fighting commies, etc. Meanwhile - here is what the President is doing:

I wonder how involved he actually is in that sort of thing - I suppose he must have signed off on it. I figure his management was just following the path of Garth Brooks, The Eagles, AC/DC, Guns 'N' Roses, etc.

You got me wrong - that is a great book. Also - I always think of Hank Hill when I think of the Cowboys, these days.

I'd like to have one of those pins.

The ones I have are the original American releases - but I am the third person to have them, so there is not much groove left to play. I am listening to Dr. Ebbetts version of III right now, and I have to say again, it sounds better than the officially released cd. It is a bit bright - but that is often my problem with digital tracks, not enough bottom end, presence, warmth, - whatever you want to call it.

Now, I am thinking of North Dallas Forty. I'll tell you what.

Ok, 43. Let's watch the: Immaculate Reception

Standard Bluegrass dress - brought about by Bill Monroe - who refused to dress like a hillbilly, as was the style for such bands, at one point.

I just caught it yesterday - as I was looking at some footage of their current live tour - which made me think of looking for the new episodes. It seemed thrown together - or rushed. It is a prelude to a final movie - so I have read. It was cool to see Cyrus though - who is of course, in the very first episode.

Speaking of funny, non-American shows, the very last episode of the TPB is on Youtube. My favorites are still The Vicar of Dibley (which was going to be Americanized starring Kirstie Alley), and Jonathan Creek.

I am almost 34, but I recall watching them.

I am talking about Clarence White. I don't think he looks like George Harrison.
-
I am pretty sure he actually did not look, or dress that way until he was in The Byrds.
-
I saw them - all of them (on TV, that is). I recall that a girl got beat up at school for wearing a Cowboys shirt.
-
Happy Birthday.
-
I take it he meant that as a joke. Clarence came from a Bluegrass background - where one does not jump around, make faces, etc.

Yahoo has 1.27 of it up. Some audio from The LA Times.

The first four albums are out there now - do a search - you will find them. I'd say they sound good - still not as heavy as the original pressings I have, but better than the boxset re-masters from the early 1990s.
