I would say I'd like to hear some more twang, but I think he may be done with that. -

Although I respect The Cardinals, I think the music he makes with them is a bit one dimensional. In the future, I would hope he either does some solo acoustic work, and/or something with a bit more raunch. -
That's pretty cool.

I am sure Lost Highway or whoever will go on releasing Ryan Adams music no matter what he does. As I recall, he recently completed demos for a new album not to long ago. The whole process was up on his blog for a while. I have read that the tour with Oasis did not do very well financially. -
Oddly enough - I was just thinking of the Libby's Libby's Libby's commercial this morning.

Good point. I have loved his music for a long time now, but I don't think I would want to hang around him very long. -

I feel bad for the guys in the band - they are out of a job. -
I didn't know there was one on TV. I have been keeping track of the print ads somewhat. I let this guy who runs a blog about the Amish know about it. It's not the heaters they are selling, but rather, the fireplace mantles. I have seen two different print ads so far - the one in the newspaper shows a family at home, the one in the back of the most recent Rolling Stone shows two semi-nude blond women on a bed. There are a lot of old commercials up at Archive.org. Personally, I can't stand to watch them - I always flip to another channel when they come on. Of course, back in your day, one could not flip channels - because there was no remote control.

Is Mr Tweedy doing a solo show in Chitown this January?
Analogman replied to Gewee's topic in Just A Fan
No source has appeared. I would like to say that there is a source for every show these days, but that is not the case. There are several shows that have not yet appeared from 2008. -
I'd got to a lot more concerts - if there were no people there.
-
I'd like to see the show. Besides a Phil Lesh show, I have never been to a Dead show during any of their tours. I don't think I can justify spending that kind of money, though. Come to think of it - I have not been to a concert in a couple of years now.
-
It's there.
-
It did not get much coverage.

I rather enjoy reading Lefsetz's blog. He is often like that. I like a lot of things he says - I don't always agree with him, though.
-
I never listened to much so-called "80s music", but I do recall this: Split Enz - I Got You - (Fridays - this show needs to come out on dvd)
