  1. I think that will be hard to get - right now, there are only two copies of Volume III on Amazon.com, and they are going for 160 bucks.
  2. Stewart Copeland - 20th Century Stewart Copeland - 21st Century
  3. That is one of reasons I wanted it - and the Betty interview.
  4. I'm not the biggest Gov't Mule fan - (I own Gov't Mule, The Deep End, Volume 1 and 2) - but it seems to me the dude can jam. If nothing else, he got the Allman Brothers to finally make a new album - Hittin' The Note - which I think is pretty good.
  5. Link The Deadhead's Taping Compendium, VOLUME II: An In-Depth Guide to the Music of the Grateful Dead on Tape, 1975-1985 came in the mail today. I paid 60 bucks for it - but it is worth it. The copy I received is in pristine condition - it looks like it has never been looked at. Now, it I can only find Volume III for a good price.
  6. New York School of poetry - He died the year I was born - ran over by a dune buggy on Fire Island.
  7. Thanks for the clarification.
  8. Aerosmith did that song also -
  9. It's on the Close to The Edge cd re-master now. They also did Every Little Thing (The Beatles) and I See You (The Byrds), on Yes (their first album). They also covered Everydays (Buffalo Springfield) on Time and A Word (their second album).
  10. Tell Laura I Love Her - Ray Peterson (1960). That song was one of those teen death songs - like Last Kiss (1962) by Wayne Cochran & the C.C. Riders (also covered by Pearl Jam).
  11. Alex and Geddy were on That Metal Show this week.
  12. I don't listen to his stuff often, but I have always liked Eventually.
  13. I respect that - I just don't dig it. I have an original pressing of that album - by the way.
  14. Check this out: The last thread about best live shows - with links to other threads.
  15. Sir Douglas Quintet - Mendocino Sir Douglas Quintet - Nuevo Laredo Doug Sahm - She's About A Mover (Live From Austin Texas) I'd like to have this: Doug Sahm and the Sir Douglas Quintet (The Complete Mercury Recordings)
  16. It still amazes me that Warren plays in three bands at more or less the same time - Gov't Mule, The Allman Brothers (who just announced the dates for their 2009 Beacon run), and now The Dead.
  17. I'm not really that much of a PF fan, but I do like that song - except for the noisy parts, that is.
  18. When I was a kid, I spent a lot of travel time in one of those deals. We just went around the state though - mostly, to the mountains.
  19. There is at least one photo in the first volume of the taper's book that shows them, The Allman Brothers, and Fleetwood Mac all on stage together. Must be from the same run - that would have been cool to see.
