  1. Sorry to hear that. The dude must have a lot of bread in the bank - if he is going to go live in Paris. I'd like to live there myself. I have relatives there.
  2. What's with the seed, bubba?
  3. For me - that would be Yes, Rush, Kiss, and Moby Grape - among others.
  4. I sort of like the song Working On A Dream - or at least - the chorus anyhow.
  5. Everyone has their list - to bad they don't let the people vote.
  6. I listened to it last night - it did not do anything for me. He pretty much stops with Nebraska for me. There are a few songs I like after that - One Step Up, Human Touch, If I Should Fall Behind, Straight Time, Let's Be Friends (Skin to Skin). The last one I bought was Devils & Dust - which won't play in my computer's cd player.
  7. That is something I noticed a while back - the out takes or bonus tracks or whatever, are often more interesting that is what is on the album. I still think this metal jam from the Showtime, Showtime video is cool. I particularly like the Sabbath groove around 1:10.
  8. I would say I'd like to hear some more twang, but I think he may be done with that.
  9. Although I respect The Cardinals, I think the music he makes with them is a bit one dimensional. In the future, I would hope he either does some solo acoustic work, and/or something with a bit more raunch.
  10. I am sure Lost Highway or whoever will go on releasing Ryan Adams music no matter what he does. As I recall, he recently completed demos for a new album not to long ago. The whole process was up on his blog for a while. I have read that the tour with Oasis did not do very well financially.
  11. Oddly enough - I was just thinking of the Libby's Libby's Libby's commercial this morning.
  12. Good point. I have loved his music for a long time now, but I don't think I would want to hang around him very long.
  13. I feel bad for the guys in the band - they are out of a job.
  14. I didn't know there was one on TV. I have been keeping track of the print ads somewhat. I let this guy who runs a blog about the Amish know about it. It's not the heaters they are selling, but rather, the fireplace mantles. I have seen two different print ads so far - the one in the newspaper shows a family at home, the one in the back of the most recent Rolling Stone shows two semi-nude blond women on a bed. Information
  15. There are a lot of old commercials up at Archive.org. Personally, I can't stand to watch them - I always flip to another channel when they come on. Of course, back in your day, one could not flip channels - because there was no remote control.
  16. The rest of the Tony Hillerman books I have not yet read: The Fallen Man The First Eagle Hunting Badger The Wailing Wind The Sinister Pig Skeleton Man Aloha Magnum: Larry Manetti's Magnum, P.I. Memories -Larry Manetti The Cobra in the Barn: Great Stories of Automotive Archaeology The Hemi in the Barn: More Great Stories of Automotive Archaeology -Tom Cotter
