I have to say this is still one of my favorite concert film moments of all time: The Song Remains The Same (film version)

I saw that display yesterday - all of their cds were less than ten bucks. I may go back and buy them all. AC DC present the world's first music video in Excel format.

I've never actually heard it - but have read about it. I have also read that there are a lot of fake versions of the song floating around on the internet.

That could be what I was thinking of.

Like he actually has any hits - ha ha. I looked for the new cd in 4 different stores today, no luck. Looks like Amazon.com is going to be my new cd store.

In the Setting The Record Straight book, Eddie Kramer says that Miles backed out on the deal as he wanted to be paid 50,000 bucks to go in the studio with Jimi, and of course, they refused to pay that.

It seems like I have read that is who owned it somewhere.

I don't have an original pressing - but the cd I have and posted about in this thread has a number stamped on the front sleeve.

In all of the Hendrix books I have read, he seems to have been into the Blues, R&B, and Bob Dylan. I do recall reading that he and Miles Davis had talked of working together, and there are tracks out there of him playing with some Jazz musicians around the time of Electric Ladyland and after wards.

Anyhow, back to the music. Any of you British dudes know anything about the re-masters? I see they are no longer listed at amazon.uk.

Not fulltime member, but rather, a full partner in The Who Inc. Apparently, he stills gets a percentage of whatever they do. I read in that big red Stones book that Bill and Charlie demanded that Ronnie be paid more - but according to Ronnie's book, he has blown all of his money, and even on the last Stones tour, he had to ask for an advance. I saw some photo of him the other day somewhere - he has taken up with some young model or whatever she is.

I sort of agree with that - but I am sure Mac (and Ronnie, according to his book, he is broke) could use the money. Rod does not, and Kenny makes out due to The Who making him a full partner back in the day.

It's been talked about for several years now. I was hoping to see a message from Mac on his website - but he has not said anything as of yet.
