  1. Beatles - White Album UK 1968 Mono LP Cover No.0000005
  2. In all of the Hendrix books I have read, he seems to have been into the Blues, R&B, and Bob Dylan. I do recall reading that he and Miles Davis had talked of working together, and there are tracks out there of him playing with some Jazz musicians around the time of Electric Ladyland and after wards.
  3. Anyhow, back to the music. Any of you British dudes know anything about the re-masters? I see they are no longer listed at amazon.uk.
  4. Not fulltime member, but rather, a full partner in The Who Inc. Apparently, he stills gets a percentage of whatever they do. I read in that big red Stones book that Bill and Charlie demanded that Ronnie be paid more - but according to Ronnie's book, he has blown all of his money, and even on the last Stones tour, he had to ask for an advance. I saw some photo of him the other day somewhere - he has taken up with some young model or whatever she is.
  5. I sort of agree with that - but I am sure Mac (and Ronnie, according to his book, he is broke) could use the money. Rod does not, and Kenny makes out due to The Who making him a full partner back in the day.

  7. It's been talked about for several years now. I was hoping to see a message from Mac on his website - but he has not said anything as of yet. There is suppose to be a re-master/re-release of the Faces cds also. The Faces message board has been down for a long time now - although the website is still there. Mac's Website Faces.com
  8. From another message board I am on:
  9. Michael Jeffery was a shady dude - reported to have been killed in a plane crash. This thread reminds me that I need to finish my Hendrix collection some day. 10. Speaking of Noel, he tried out for the Stones after Bill left. I have that book - it is a good read.
  11. Another sad trip that I have not yet seen mentioned - Mitch, Noel, Billy, and Buddy all had their legal battles with the Hendrix estate over the past decade or so. Not to long before Noel died, he was actually selling his Hendrix related memorabilia on Ebay. Also - the white Stratocaster that the Hard Rock Cafe owns came from Mitch - it was the one Hendrix used at Woodstock.
  12. BBC Obit Maybe it's more about that he took what he learned from jazz drumming and blended that in with the innovative work of Hendrix.
  13. I meant - the later period stuff with Mitch. Although, Buddy is the man for the Band of Gypsies material.
  14. I have never heard it - but I have read that Noel was given a lot of money to make that album.
  15. I actually prefer later period Hendrix - such as, the sort of songs that are on First Rays of the New Rising Sun. I like the groove - or rhythm patterns, as Billy Cox called them.
  16. As Mr. dmait pointed out - looks like Parish is at it also. I bet Jerry's last wife will have something to say about all of this. I think people should listen to the music, watch what film footage there is and enjoy the trip. We don't need some Hollywood BS movie to know that Jerry had problems. And that is exactly what the movie will end up highlighting.
  17. That was funny - and so is this: Will Ferrell as Bush 1 Will Ferrell as Bush 2
