  1. It's funny how things come around again - Nixon, McCarthyism, The Vietnam War, War protesters, etc. Michelle Bachmann gives voice to the right's darkest impulses
  2. Grateful Dead Live at Old Renaissance Faire Grounds on 1972-08-2 Grateful Dead Live at Fillmore East (Late Show) on 1970-05-15
  3. That's right - they put the breaks on that deal. The Eyes of The World track I have in there is the one that is on the So Many Roads boxset.
  4. I keep a folder of loose songs on my computer to listen to from time to time - usually when I am working on something, and don't want to change cds. Anyhow, last night, I clicked on it - and was thinking, I'd like to hear Eyes of the World (from the movie) that I knew was in that folder. And sure enough, that was the first track WinAmp played.
  5. I don't like to disrespect old folks, but I could not let those posters hang there. I don't think they put them up there anyhow.
  6. I'll check it out. Thanks, hair farmer dude. Gram and Brian are his sons, right?
  7. Lower right corner of your first post - I am not jumping on you - but it is not really cool to ask for commercially available audio to be put up on a band's fan made message board. I just don't want to see people asking for commercially available tracks in the Bit Torrent section (or anywhere else for that matter). Doing that, could get us in trouble. In this case, Wilco has once again went against the grain and put the tracks up for everyone to grab - so you did nothing wrong by asking.
  8. I found and destroyed some OBAMA IS A MUSLIM posters at the laundromat this morning. I don't think the old ladies who happened to be there liked that very much - but, too bad.
  9. I wonder who made that shirt Bob is holding up?
  10. I've been told more than once that was a myth - I wonder what the truth is. They told you it was because that was considered to be deviating from the norm and/or it was seen as something to do with communism - or some other reason?
  11. I made a new one - since that one was getting near 1000.

  13. EXCL: Star Trek pic! A first look at the villainous Nero (Eric Bana) in action from next summer's "Star Trek." As an added bonus, producer Damon Lindelof talks a little bit about Nero and the film... Check out the car in the banner at the top of the page.
  14. I thought the episode was funny.
  15. Maybe they don't have one then. I'd like to see Lucinda Williams - I see she is playing there.
  16. The tracks I have heard sound like some sort of bad NIN impression. I just read some GNR book, and it seems that was Axl's idea even towards the end of the band, to make music in more of a Techno-Industrial mode. I have decided that my favorite Axl vocal is: I've been walking the streets at night Just trying to get it right It's hard to see with so many around You know I don't like being stuck in a crowd And the streets don't change, but maybe the names I ain't got time for the game I would like to hear that song without the shitty background vocals.
