Sounds like it was a nice time - glad everyone enjoyed the show. I think this is the first one I have ever listened to - I just uploaded it to Team Loper - so he will have it up there for people to snag eventually. Also - this show is now being seeded on dime a dozen. -

Are you gonna put that with your avatar? ha ha ha ha ha I'd rather hear a Mungo Jerry song instead of Candyfloss. -
I read that also - and was thinking about a thread - but as you just said, it probably would just turned into a negative deal.

The very beginning. He's busting on people for posting here so much - hilarious. And someone (a woman) is busting on him. -

Who are the females giving him hell at the start? I have not listened to Jeff's music for a long time, or so it seems that way - anyhow. All of you Spider (Kidsmoke) haters - be sure to check out this version - you may change your mind. -
I wonder if he is going to put that 76 tour film on there? That, I would like to see. You can see some of it in Year Of The Horse, of course. I have seen bootlegs of it, but the quality was terrible.
-
I think that is his deal -he wants to control the quality of his product at all costs. It will interesting to see how many of them are sold.
-
I was thinking 100 was probably too low - since it is possibly an ongoing deal. I see what you are saying.
-
I figure he has a lot of power over his releases - I bet it's going to be 100 + to buy it. Like he said in that interview, someone will figure out how to rip it. I don't buy boxsets anymore, but I was looking forward to buying this one - but I don't see that happening - due to the format it is in.

I mean - I can see some hardcore Neil fans doing that - but not most people. Although, maybe this sort of thing is only for hardcore Neil fans.
-
I wonder why he thinks people want to look at pictures scrolling by as they listen to music?
-
-
Snail mail only (so far) - I plan to seed it when I get it though.
-
I think this is the sort of thing he has in mind for the archive Blu-ray deal.
-
I have not messed with buying any of those recent releases - what is the source of the film? 16mm pro or aud shot?
-
Right. Although I don't worship the band, that is a great song. The drums make it move along rather nicely.

I bet the fact that he was going to put this out on DVD a few years ago - until he learned DVDs could be ripped, had something to do with this decision. Same thing with the dvd/cd thread - as I recall, the Son Volt/Bruce combo would only play on the DVD side on my computer. I never play the Bruce deal - because it has that spyware thing in it. Just as the My Morning Jacket cd did. I guess this was their attempt to keep people from ripping the content. Just found this at Uncut.com:

I didn't see it - don't really care for the dude - but his interviews are always entertaining. I just found this - pretty funny.

So, if you don't have a machine that can play Blu-Ray discs - no archives for you.
