  1. I never cared for them all that much. I had those couple of albums plus For Those About To Rock. I don't think I have any AC/DC now. As I recall - one of the things that drew kids I knew to the band were their "dirty" lyrics.
  2. I had it on 8-Track and vinyl. And Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap on 8-Track.
  3. That may be right. I do recall reading something in Bill's book about him being paid more money. All this AC/DC talks takes me back to the Back in Black days. Every teenager in school had that album - or it sure seemed like it.
  4. I take it AC/DC must be only Angus now with the rest of the guys hired from tour to tour. Brian must be like Ron Wood - in a band for over 3 decades, but still a hired hand. I would be surprised if Angus does albums with Brian, and then hires somebody else to do the vocals on tours. I think this be the end - or they are going to hire a new singer.
  5. Brian has released a statement:
  6. I was reading the chapter about the Pittsburgh show in that So Many Roads book. I remember when that went down. Whenever there was a GD show in Pittsburgh, you would often see deadheads suddenly appear where I live hanging around on the streets.(about an hour away from Pittsburgh). The tone of the So Many Roads book reminds me somewhat of the Keith Moon book by Tony Fletcher. Dave's Picks Volume 18 Orpheum Theatre, San Francisco, CA 7/17/1976
  7. That must be an entry for the Guinness Book of Records. In 2016 Axl Rose served as the lead singer for two of the biggest bands in history while perched on a throne.
  8. Not a hater - but you have to at least admit it is sort of a drag to hear him go on about how groovy he is.
  9. I'm sure they didn't want to refund however many millions they are going to make from this tour.
  10. I don't think either one of those guys was that great.
  11. I guess they were. The photos I saw only showed Ian, Ian, Jon's widow, and Roger.
  12. Could be the heat from the lights and all that leather he is wearing - at least part of the deal. I think Mick Jagger works out everyday. I think Axl probably does not. I think they sound good though. Usually, when some old band gets back together something is off - the singer can't sing, or the guitar player can't play. But it seems to me they have it together.
  13. This I Love (nice close-up video)
  14. It's the thing Dave had made when he broke his leg a while back. Oddly enough, this is not the first time Axl has messed up his foot and went on with the show.
  15. I like to listen from the first album Shades of Deep Purple (1968) through Burn (1974) and then Perfect Strangers (1984). I was just reading some speeches from the ceremony - I guess David and Glenn were there.
  16. And they are actually recording yet another new album right now. I was watching some clips from the new Blackmore documentary yesterday. That guy is a trip.
  17. I didn't bother posting the stuff here - but there are several back and forth statements from Gillian, Blackmore and their managers about why Ritchie did not attend or who got in from the band, and who did not. The last I heard Coverdale and Glenn Hughes were suppose to be there. I guess that changed.
  18. That's nice that Lars inducted Deep Purple. He is a big Deep Purple guy. Maybe some videos will pop up later.
  19. I've read things about the cost to sit at a table before. Someone must pay for a lot of those old acts - who probably don't can't afford that price. I guess Steve did not want to pay.
  20. I was just looking at some photos from last night and noticed CT let Bun play at the ceremony. I think that is pretty cool. I have not yet found out who in Deep Purple was there besides Roger, Gillian, and Ian Paice.
