I think it was announced as being part of the 50th Anniversary events taking place. That is - along with all the people putting out books, T-shirts, etc.
-
I have grown to dislike those type of films over the years. I recall talking about this when the news of the Jerry bio film was being talked about.
-
I wonder why people think this is a good idea:
-
I never did. I only saw Robert that one time.
-
Walking Into Clarksdale came out in 1998 The sound of that album is terrible (as is the album cover). I am guessing Jimmy is going to do what Ritchie is doing for the upcoming Rainbow shows. That is - hire a bunch of unknown young players. And maybe a surprise guest here and there.
-
1994-1998 - I think. The Black Crowes tour was 1999/2000.
-
Looks like old Jimmy may actually go though with it:

I recently bought the first 6 re-masters. I have not listened to them yet though. From what I have read - most people say they sound way better than the original cds. -

I guess this means a new acoustic album: -
I read that book. That whole guy's trip seems to be about taking the air out of all the famous Keith stories.
-
I forgot that one. I think the saddest story might be the one where Keith ran over and killed his driver.
-
I don't think they ever did - except for Keith's various troubles with the police. And that incident where Pete threw that detective off the stage at the Fillmore.
-
They were going to do more Stones songs - but they got out of prison before they could record any more.
-
That's a great story about the acetate being returned to the band. The original pressing had braille on the back and some sort of poster/lyric sheet. I don't have an original pressing. I do have an original pressing of Pete's first solo album though. I think Roger, Richard Evans, and Graham Hughes did the album cover. I don't recall the story behind it. I will have to check some Who books I have. It could be someone else here knows.
-
I didn't think it was that bad.
-
I am hoping the next time HBO has a free weekend where I live I get to see it. We recently had one over the holiday weekend. So I was able to watch True Detective 2.
-
There ain't nothing cheesy (I hate that word) about that album cover. Get the re-master - it has more songs on it. There are all sorts of great songs from the Lifehouse period.
-
Has anyone heard the new song Bono has written for Paris? I have not dug around yet to see if it pops up somewhere.
-
The only thing I remember about that album is Southern Pacific. Speaking of Neil - I recently bought the Buffalo Springfield boxset. I have cdr copies that someone gave me back when it came out (2001). I happened to see it on Amazon recently for 24 bucks new - so I thought that was a good deal. It is a good deal - but the box is now downsized. I believe the original release was more the size of a scrapbook.
-
I think you may be right about the downsizing though. I recall reading that they had also sold some homes they had in other countries.
-
I have those books. I think he is giving all the money from the auction to charity.
-
I saw a photo yesterday of Ringo sitting behind the oversize drums from the Hello Goodbye film. I think those are in the auction also.
-
I wonder if that bass drum head is a replacement? I say that as in the photos of his drums in the Beatles gear book almost all of the Beatles logos are cut out of the bass drum skins.

LOL
-
Which is funny - because it has always been stated that John had the first one.
