I saw some posts that had Martin Chambers photo on the news story. I guess someone didn't do their homework. Martin did play with the band for the reunion shows a while back. And a pet peeve of mine is that people only know All The Young Dudes. Mott had many great songs. He also worked with various bands in the years following the band's demise. I believe he also worked as a producer for the BBC.

He sang Peaceful Easy Feeling - which is a great song. I guess he had some health issues going on that were not all that well known (at least in the news).

Corner Gas (2004-2009) This show seems to be pretty tame compared to the other Canadian show I watch. But - it is funny.

This may be interesting:

Thanks. I don't know if this is real - but I did wonder why the price of that Pin Ups cd was 17 dollars when I looked it up. Amazon is sold out of every David Bowie album (and accused of price-jacking)
-
I wouldn't know what that even is, man.
-
I would say which ones - but I actually just got all the albums except for the second one the night he died. I haven't listened to them enough to know the song titles. Which reminds me - I may get that Bowie album Pin Ups. The internet is a funny place. The woman from the China Girl video is giving her two cents about how Bowie changed her life. And then around that you see posts about how he objectified Chinese women in the video. Iggy Pop actually wrote that song with David and it is on Iggy's album The idiot (1977).

Somehow I can't see GD live albums being played in the club or on the radio.
-
And there are certainly some STP songs that mimic Bowie songs.

And Natalie Cole and Red Simpson

I was thinking it is sort of freaky that Lemmy died four days after his birthday and Bowie two days after his birthday.
-
I was wondering about that myself.

There's also this:

That could be - or it may have been part of the Rock History film that was on PBS back in the day. I think they also talked about the vocals on Heroes.

A lot of bands made albums like that back then. That was the sound of a lot popular music in the early/mid 1980s. I don't often listen to his albums but when I do I always listen to all the ones I have (Space Oddity through Aladdin Sane and Diamond Dogs). I saw a documentary once somewhere that had an interview with the guy who played the piano parts on the Aladdin Sane album. I recall it was rather interesting.

That is probably what I was thinking of. The video where he was wearing the white gloves.
-
I recall reading about this when it was first announced - sort of:
-
I think he may be in one of the videos for that album. Although I am not sure. Not something I would listen to. I know about it - as it was a big album.
-
I was quizzing someone about that the other day. They thought I was making that up. David wanted SRV to do the tour also.
-
His movements and Mick's soloing around the 11 minute mark are something to behold. I should get that film one of these days. I have only watched parts of it on Youtube.

This is what I like: Width of a Circle (1973)

Yea, when they come back to Morgantown I will go.

I don't think the show got listed in the In A Future Age section since it was a direct download. If I don't happen to click on the After The Show thread I generally miss these sorts of posts. As that seems to be where the direct download links get posted. I didn't think I had this show but after checking the Google Sheet where we keep track on things - I do have it. It is also now up at the Wilco Archive download site.

I think that was because of RJD and they made some sort of pact not to use the Black Sabbath name when he was in the band (again). He was not too fond of Ozzy you may recall. Or maybe they had some sort of settlement with Tony before that - as you say.
