I was thinking the other day that this may be similar to the Black Sabbath ownership story. Tony was at one point the sole owner of the name (or whatever legal term they use) and Ozzy took issue with that. I have to think that had something to do with their reunion work of the last few years. I think Axl owns the GNR name. I wonder if he had to give some of that up to get Slash and Duff to do the tour.

The Jayhawks (including Louris, Olson, and related)
Analogman replied to Analogman's topic in Someone Else's Song
It's still three original members (Gary, Karen, and Marc) plus Tim has been there since 1997. I see you point though. To me it is best with Mark and Gary. Although I do like that album Rainy Day Music. I am not sure if I will buy the new one or not. -
I wonder if Gilby, Dizzy, and Matt will be there also.

Information on the new album: The Jayhawks - (pledgemusic.com) -
I don't care what they look like. I am just curious if they can still bring the rock. It seems hard to believe now that such music was ever mainstream. I am may have said this before - but I recall seeing flyers for them around Hollywood back in the day. I don't think I ever saw the band though.

This must be why he was always late. He ate that shit and had the shits.

David Letterman - Looking For Fun (HBO,1981)

No problem.

I think Duff is in there also. I guess we will see when there is an official press release.

All the shows were moved to Google Drive a while back: Wilco Archive (Google Drive)

Saw this on another message board:

It looks like we are getting the Season 7 here starting next weekend. It's a good thing I didn't buy that dvd yet. I figured something was going to happen as there was a making of season 7 on tonight. We get it on PBS here.

I will check it out. Thank you.

One thing I didn't much care for in that video (Ray and Dave) was Dave's guitar sound. I suspect he has some sort of Dave Davies Guitar Sound Pedal now. Or whatever that hell it is.

Has anyone ever been to Rick's museum? I never knew such a place existed until I saw it on an episode of American Pickers.

I will have to find that first Roger cd somewhere. What really caught my ear was the song One Man Band. There is also a great video of Leo Sayer doing the song (he co-wrote it) on some British TV show (when he was still wearing clown make-up).

I am also creating new folders for all the shows. That is - all the shows from each year will be in a folder under the band name and the year. At least with regards to the Wilco, Jeff, and UT shows. Here is a list of what was added over the past two years (sometime in 2014-end of 2015):

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band
Analogman replied to Sweet Papa Crimbo's topic in Someone Else's Song
I played all the way through Darkness On The Edge of Town. You can hear things you never heard before: squeaking chairs, background vocals, and even Gary's bass. -
Outside of Pete's solo albums I have never really collected any of the band's solo work. For some odd reason I was listening to Roger's first album by way of Youtube yesterday. I went to buy a cd of it and found it is out of print and people are asking ridiculous money for it. I find that odd when some of his other cds can be bought 4 bucks. And the original vinyl pressings are cheap also. I think I have at least one Entwistle album (Rigor Mortis Sets In). And I recall listening to Under A Raging Moon quite a bit back in the cassette days.

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band

I'm listening to the re-masters now. I'd say they are miles ahead of what was available. Lost In The Flood is my test song. What a great song that is. -
I know Roger Daltrey and Rod Stewart also have kids that were born decades apart. I figure there must be something else to the story.
-
I don't have kids. It must be really weird to have little kids and be in your 60s.

I had always read that he left because he didn't want to tour so much anymore:

I'd say Chicago and Steve Miller do the same thing. I guess if you are into the band it does not matter.
