EMI and Apple to sell non copy-protected music
Analogman replied to Col. Hapablap's topic in Someone Else's Song
I never heard them until the mid 90s and I have always thought they sounded like crap. I doubt EMI is in a hurry to do anything since those Capitol boxes came out. It is not very fun to buy a whole bunch of cds twice - I have bought all the Beach Boys cds two times now. I have not bothered with the Dylan re-masters - as I own them all (almost) and that would be a lot of money to spend. While where at it - the Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty cds need re-mastered too. -

And it's sure been a cold, cold winter And the wind ain't been blowin' from the south It's sure been a cold, cold winter And the light of love is all burned out It sure been a hard, hard winter My feet been draggin' 'cross the ground And I hope it's gonna be a long, hot summer And the light of love will be burnin' bright And I wish I'd been out in California When the lights on all the Christmas trees went out But I been burnin' my bell, book and candle And the restoration plays have all gone 'round It sure been a cold, cold winter My feet been draggin' 'cross the ground And the fields ha

From what I have read, he is doing most of the Layla album these days - and did have Derek Trucks playing in the band. -
razzle dazzle So those dudes were buried alive.
-
That one too - I got that from a Jerry Seinfeld commercial.

That was a wicked googly. The last Dylan album I really cared for was Infidels.
-
you guys should use this thing

Can you name a movie he played a bit part in?

I am sure it will be out there to buy - it seems a lot of new releases now have such things. And then there's the most recent rip-off, "the tour edition" - sometimes, I think people could learn a thing or two from Ryan Adams.

This thread make me think of the line "you have your whole life to write your first album, and a few months to write the next one" or however it goes - depending on whose saying it. I usually (with some exceptions, of course) prefer a band's first two or three albums to whatever else they do.

One of those Lyme and Cybelle songs is on the Nuggets box.
-
That's right - there are others out there.
-
These are just attempts to get people to buy the shit instead of stealing it from the internets - at least, that is what I think. Which is sort of funny - as you can rip anything eventually.

I did a search the other day - and found many threads and posts about this - theft protection + the dvd not playing right = a bunch of pissed off Son Volt fans. I had forgot about this deal as I had not played it in a while.
-
I hope it is not like the Son Volt Okemah cd - the audio side will not play in my computer's disc drive - and although the dvd side will play, it clicks.

all the rage these days -

And now a sequel - Farewell Summer.

Maybe you could Frankenstein a different needle in place of the one that is on there. That's what I did with my turntable.
-
I think the last Dylan album is a stinker also.
-
Maybe you could take some photos of it and send the photos to them.
-
It's a video to show the youts of today how to play a record album.

This thread ain't about a Blondie song.
