    Recently I have watched:

    The Stand

-So, for any "normal" writer, the obvious thing to do with this concept would be to make a gritty story about living in a post-lethal pandemic world. And this has that. But it also has some of Stephen King's more.... bizarre stuff in it. In the first episode you're like "what? the virus is named Captain Tripps? lol wut" but by the end you'll think, all things considered, it's not that weird of a name. I've read The Dark Tower series and knew this would be connected and therefor get a little out there. I liked it! The mini series formula works way better than a 2 hour film and this made me excited for Wizard & Glass.

There was a also mini-series made for TV in 1994. I think you can still find it on Youtube.

One of the things I miss most is public transportation.  My favorite Sunday morning activity was to walk to the ferry building, maybe go to the big library downtown on the way, eat breakfast down there, and then take the streetcar home.  I haven't done that in a year, partly because a lot of the pieces of that trip wouldn't feel safe, but also because the walk home is all uphill! :lol I'll be very happy to be able to explore my city again.

I am fortunate here that the buses did not get shut down. The surrounding cities shut down the buses for a long time last spring. That is how I go to the store every Saturday morning. They only allow 4 people on the bus. And I am the first one on the bus coming and going. I finally got an appointment for the vaccine Monday morning. I tried several times and was not successful.

  4. There is a lot of those FM recordings to be found on Amazon. There is some sort of legal loop hole that makes it possible for those to be sold. Those are probably just the same audio files we already have pressed on a cd and slapped together with cheap artwork.
