So good ol' Neil raised his ticket prices to ward off scalpers? He's screwing us so the scalpers don't have to? What a guy!!! Please. When I think of the money I've given to some of these greedy old bastards over the decades, only to have them do this...Is ANYBODY doing it for the music anymore? Sorry for the anger, but I feel a very real sense of betrayal, particularly in the case of Petty & Young. After all their men-of-the-people bullshit, this? In the past few years I've had to pass on two amazing double-bills: Neil Young with Wilco, and Tom Petty with My Morning Jacket, because

I couldn't agree more. I've loved Neil Young and Tom Petty for most of my life, and I thought they were among the few who had some integrity and respect for their fans, but seriously - screw them both. I wonder if Petty has the balls to play "Money Becomes King" these days. Hypocritical greed-heads, the pair of them. They'll never see another dime of my money. It makes me appreciate a band like Wilco even more. I, probably like most of you, paid around $35 to see an "Evening with..." show. THAT was value for money.

My main problem with those paints is that they don't age well, especially if you have pets or kids. Any scrubbing will affect the finish. The only way around this is to go with a more glossy finish, but that looks terrible. Behr's ceiling paint always leaves roller marks. It's just not very good paint. The next time you paint, try Muralo or B. Moore (even Sherwin Williams). You'll see a difference immediately, in the application, coverage and finish. Plus, their matte finishes are washable and last longer. Anyway, that's enough work-talk for a Sunday. Best wishes!

Pole sanding: a sanding head that screws onto most decent extension poles. Put a piece of sandpaper on it and go around the room. It removes any stipple from the previous paint job. Scuffing: just means gently sanding the trim to help the new paint bond better. Imperative if you're painting over gloss.

I paint for a living. Here are a few tips: 1. Use good paint - it DOES make a difference. Muralo is excellent. So is B. Moore. Behr and Glidden are garbage. 2. Use a matte (not to be confused with flat) finish on the walls. Lightly pole-sand the walls before you paint (especially if existing paint is at all glossy). 3. Use a good brush (E&J Gen Y series are great) and good roller covers. Take a piece of tape to the roller cover before you use it to remove lint. 4. Forget the blue tape - it's a waste of time and never works well. A steady hand is better. 5. Lightly scuff all tri

Thanks, mdphunk! Much obliged! -
I ended up just downloading the zip file (which I should've done in the first place). It sounds amazing - great job!

I can't believe I missed these shows. I had no idea. One of my all time favorite bands...Heartbroken. -
For some reason track 2 (Bull Black) won't download. Any ideas? Thanks again - can't wait for the Tweedy show!

Thanks for going to the trouble!

I would be eternally grateful. This show sounds amazing.

M. (hristine, I agree, but it's really hard not to jump to the conclusion that this nut had political (or, more likely, Religious) reasons for doing this. Beck, Palin, and their cohorts have been stoking the fire for a long time. This was sadly inevitable. ps. Lemming don't actually hurl themselves from cliffs.

I'm out too.

A friend I'm chatting to in the UK is having problems getting it too. Very strange. Other than a few quick hiccups I've had no issues.

I've still got it. Hang in there.

Ashes!! My favorite Nels solo. I was so bummed they didn't do this (or via Chicago) in Providence.

It sounds great. I'm hoping someone records and shares these webcasts. My wife and I were at the Lupo's show on Sunday. So amazing...
