  1. I agree with you for the most part, but I also don't think that anyone should allowed to take human life outside of it being the only alternative to their own life being in jeapordy. What I mean is, i'd likely have a different opinion if someone were to take the life of one of my loved ones...i'd want retribution. Granted, life imprisonment w/ no chance of parole isn't anything to scoff at, but I don't know.
  2. Outisde of Superman and Batman, i'm actually surprised in how DC is getting lapped by Marvel in bringing some of these comics to the big screen. I'd kind of dig a Green Lantern flick as well, perhaps a Wonder Twins trilogy.
  3. i know, i just like to get you to acknowledge me. doh! VENOM...not Spawn. I actually watched that awful Spawn movie on TV last weekend and still had it on the brain. Soory.
  4. Looks like they are doing that w/ some of the more cult Marvel comics... Man Thing (one of my favorites as a kid) went straight the the Sci-Fi channel last year. and I guess they have a series for Moon Knight under development as well... ahhh, tualla...even her tastes in comics are indie cool. sorry, graphic novels.
  5. I know there was a Spiderman 3 thread that kicked off a longer discussion on movies based on comic books, but i'm opening anoither one of by kicking out some random things and see if anybody has any updates of their own or toher comic book movie stuff to contribute: * Read somewhere that not only are the villains in Spidey 3: Spawn, Sandman and the Hobgoblin, but they've thrown The Lizard and Mysterio (played by Bruce Campbell!). Although, those two may be brief for a set-up for a Spidey 4. * They are doing kind of a 'do-over' on the Hulk, this time done by Marvel films and the bad guy
  6. You could have said that in French and I wouldn't have understood it any less.
  7. That pic will find it's way into millions of emails and message boards before the day is through. Nothing amazes me any more on what people will latch onto or not...while it'd be ridiculous if it does, I can see how this stupid gaff could sway some undecideds. You may know how you're going to vote and have a pretty solid rationale based on issues, etc as to why that is...but don't pretend you know how others will cast theirs and why.
  8. Newstand-wise, i'm impartial to Magnet, URB, XLR8R and Big Takeover. Web-wise, I have a bunch of hip-hop/etc. blogs bookmarked...and that Pandora radio has thrown some good shit my way as well.
  9. I posted this over in another section and it's really worth watching, so I thought i'd throw it over here too... One of my favortie concert vids ever and some kind soul posted the entire damn thing on YouTube. Enjoy or post in here that you don't like Peter Gabriel or he's sold out or gotten stale or something cool like that i've never heard before.
  10. You also catch fish w/ your bare hands and smoke sawdust from a corn cob pipe.
  11. While not the best ever or anything, you're taking a lot away from Mike and Alex. Maybe their playing sounded better intertwined w/ Ed's guitar, but they laid out some monstrous rock as a unit. I'm actually more of a Van Hagar guy, but DLR was a hell of a frontman in his prime as well. I'm a huge KISS fan, but i'd put VH in over them in a heartbeat.
  12. 'A COLORFUL, UNPREDICTABLE FOLK HERO' like he's Johnny Appleseed or something. No thanks.

  15. That's in my Top 10 of 'flicks so bad they're fantastic.' However, pound for pound, I find that Friday the 13th 3-D was the best of the bunch.
  16. CFMT was better than the tunes on this, IMO. but this is very good.
