  1. my sincerest condolences to you and your family, jen. as hard as it is, he's in a better place.
  2. that flick was so bad, it was good. i saw it on vhs many moons ago...don't really have any desire to see it again.
  3. i saw that flick twice when it was out in the theatre.
  4. got back home late last night after they released him back to ICU. the operation went as best as possible, they removed everything they could via surgery and grandpa got through just fine. dad just called to tell me the CT they did this morning showed no clotting and it seems everything was a complete success! he could be home as early as tomorrow afternoon. he'll start radiation treatments for the little pieces that could not be removed via surgery in 10 days and somewhere in that timeframe they will also determine what to do about the tumor on his lung. thanks for the support, guys, se
  5. even more prayers for your mom, you and your family, jen.
  6. thanks guys. just got another update from my mom and it looks like they will be doing neurosurgery on wednesday and will do biospy from that tumor to determine lung scenario, etc. i'll be heading back downstate tomorrow to hang out pre and post surgery. crazy stuff. thanks for all the kind words and vibeage. like i said when my grandma passed...go hug or call a few loved ones to tell them you love them, especially g-parents if you still have them with you.
  7. he had been acting a little out of sorts for the past month and he was supposed to meet us at my sisters house on Saturday. when he didn't show and didn't answer his phone, my Dad drove down from Bloomington to Decatur to check in on him. he was there, but seemed too out of it to get to the door to even let him in. long story short, they called an ambulance and took him to the hospital. after a few tests, they discovered a tumor on his brain and, later, one on his lung. he is in no pain, feels great physically and now is completely lucid...but has obviously had a few blackouts over the past
  8. i'm sorry for your loss, martin. please give our condolences to patti and her family.
  9. only to become a no-show in the playoffs the year after and an even more stellar performance this season. consistent. yes, Edie was one hell of a vocal sox fan...when they were winning.
  10. I have no idea who your team is, but you must be proud. I was talking about the White Sox.
  11. Type 'As a whole, yes...but the last one was just in 2003. It was enough then, today not so much.' What else am i supposed to do?! Eh, it'll sting for a few days if they get shut down...but i'll live. At least we won our division and weren't 3 games out of last place/24 out of first.
  12. i actually like seeing that...they should get pissed off. As a whole, yes...but the last one was just in 2003. It was enough then, today not so much.
  13. Doh! It may have taken me a few minutes, but if you would have posted a pic of them in full gear...I would have got Raven, I think. Tokyo Blade...what a wonderfully literal press photo.
  14. nope. i remember checking out when the band was going to be in town and i think i had missed it. don't remember.
  15. okay, you've got me there. no clue, but that first pic is awesome. krokus?
  16. keel. i put their version of rose tattoo's 'rock'n'roll outlaw' on a mix i made a couple of weeks ago.
  17. frankly, i think what the world could really use right now is some good old fashioned power balladry. all it took was a whistle in 'winds of change' to knock down the berlin wall.
  18. you know. i want it to be enough that they got to the playoffs after the crappy start to the season...but it isn't. hopefully saturday they'll stage a miracle comeback.
  19. dude. steelheart. c'mon. THE MAKER! YEAH!
  20. i also have no problem w/ oasis other than the last few albums being kind of tepid.
