    A Cherry Ghost
  1. A week late but saw Dweezil Zappa and his band in cinncy and boy howdy were they great! Hot Rats was superb
  2. Seeing them tomorrow night at the Ryman! Got a friend barely flying in in time to make it downtown. Do they start at the scheduled time or run a little late?
  3. Are they rocking "Misunderstood"? or is it still acoustic? Going to the Louisville show and hoping they kill it like the show opener I feel that it was written to be! Missed last years shows ( too much work) but really excited about the setlists so far this time out.
  4. Feels great to say this!... Wilco. Been a long year without.
  5. Just bought my ticket for the Columbus show and have been wondering just what do the boys have in store for us? Will they throw down with some box set rarities? I'm pulling for "Hotel Arizona"!
  6. Sturgill Simpson in Bowling Green.
  7. Stan Ridgway when in Wall of Voodoo "Mexican Radio". Stan still making beautiful music today.
  8. Beck at the Ryman last night. Terrific show!
  9. I have one seat available if your still looking? second row center balcony Can meet at the show PM for phone #
  10. Just got home from Drive By Truckers and Old 97's. Great show. They complimented each other very well. But the Truckers are a sonic guitar attack. First time show for me. Won't be the last. Both were fun to hear.
  11. Can Anyone tell me the song that played over the PA after the show before the fire works? Had to be Rod Stewart I would guess?? Been driving me nuts today trying to search his back catalog.
  12. Never said that Wilco's set was better Than MMJ's... but that I would have preferred to have seen Wilco get the longer slot. I did enjoy the show and I don't think I have ever seen a crowd more enthralled by a band in my life. It was really a sight. But I just couldn't help thinking that they were pushing it too far. How long was their set? 22 songs. Nearly three hours? They could have had 6 or 7 more songs in the set. They were into it though, being in front of the hometown crowd. I'd like to see them again but maybe cover a Television tune ( See No Evil ?) and a little less on the Wham!. Loo
  13. I would have to go with these. XTC - Drums and Wires Interpol - Turn on the Bright Lights Bowie - Ziggy Stardust Talking Heads - More Songs About Buildings and Food Jefferson Airplane - Surrealistic Pillow Love and Rockets - Seventh Dream of a Teenage Heaven The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots Paul & Linda McCartney - Ram Squeeze - Argybargy Wilco - YHF No order. Just some of my perfect albums
  14. Just saw this show last week in Cincinnati and they were both great. Wishing I could drive down to Birmingham for their show next Saturday. Justin Townes Earle looks to be in fine form. We had a great time.
