I'm sure Bralove was a great guy but JG's MIDI period is one I'd rather forget.

Cant we put that all stuff aside for a few hours and rock out? Thats all I'm asking. Also, I acknowledge your correction. Lammy, I'll let you pay for my next Steve Earle ticket. Its only fair. -

Mario the Organ Grinder from the 12 St Beach could really grind out a wicked tune. He also was the area rag man and knife sharpener. Truly a Renaissance man!

Read "Orange Sunshine" by N. Schau recently. Laguna Beach and Southern Cali was completely insane in the early 70s. Good read on the Brotherhood of Eternal Love and their plan for turning on the world.....

Started "Wool" by H. Howey this morning.

Watched "Killer Joe" over the weekend. Great cast, cool film if you like Noir. I'll never look at a KFC chicken leg the same way again.

I missed The Drovers reunion at the Abbey last night. Even Kathleen came back! Sounds like it was a one time thing too dammit. One of the best places to be in the early 90s in Chicago was a Drovers show at the Abbey.

There should be a "Worst Books" thread. Years ago I had to read something called the sisterhood of traveling pants for a book club. The book club meeting itself consisted of everyone yelling at the host for picking that book. That was rewarding, the book sure wasnt.

Stewie, I used a telephone to speak with his brother. Massive heart attack, out of nowhere. He and I managed to acquire a Taco Bell bell late one very frigid Sunday evening. RIP Bret.
