  1. The report was that a pillow was found "over his head;" not "over his face." Maybe a better choice of words would have been a pillow was "above his head" or "between the top of his head and the headboard." There's nothing to this non-story.
  2. ^^^ I listened to Live at :Leeds earlier this week. It's my favorite live album. The sound on the enhanced version is fantastic,
  3. ^^^ And I hope you're the only person to say it. Regardless of whether you agreed with hiis opinions, the man was a Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court and doesn't serve to be called a POS.
  4. As per the Chicago Tribune (can't seem to paste the link). The buildings on the cover of YHF are officially Chicago landmarks. Wilco was mentioned in the article (which I can't seem to paste). FWIW, I look directly at Marina City while sitting at my work desk. So I've got that going for me -- which is nice.
  5. ^^^ How's the new Iggy? I picked up tickets to see him in April.
  6. Just finished Making of a Murderer on Netflix. Excellent and troubling. I've started watching The Circus on Showtime.
  7. It also was played during the broadcast of the Blackhawks game on Saturday night.
  8. I don't find many of Bernie's positions on any issue appealing (and don't plan to vote for him), but I find him very appealing as a person. He is principled and authentic -- unlike most of the other candidates from the two parties. Plus, the prospect of serial Larry David appearances on SNL is irresistible!
  9. ^^^ Agree on "You, Me & The Apocalypse." I used to kind of hate Rob Lowe. But his role on Parks & Recreation completely changed my opinion of him. And now with The Grinder and Y,M & the A, he's one of my favorites. Stick to comedy, Rob. You're pretty great at it.
  10. Thanks, LouieB. Just ordered "New York Before the War" used from Reckless.
  11. Thanks, guys. Anyone else want to chime in on Jesse Malin album recommendations?
  12. At the Alejandro Escovedo show on Saturday the couple next to me were raving about Jesse Malin. I've heard of him but am unfamiliar with his work. Turns out he's playing in Nashville the same weekend I'll be there -- tickets were only $15.00 so I grabbed a couple (not much of a risk at that price). If there are any Jesse Malin fans out there, I'd appreciate recommendations on albums of his I should check out. Thanks.
  13. ^^^ Agree. Sound + Vision is one of my favorite Bowie songs. There's something about the way Bowie sings the word "vision" that makes me smile every time. It has a harmonic quality to it -- like a vibrating pipe.
