  1. He's also Dick Cheney. He's crazy, and everyone knows it.
  2. Why should that scare people? Was he wearing a scary mask while saying it?
  3. Regardless of what I feel about him, he's a fantasy baseball stud. It's actually a 5x5 weekly head to head league. We did traditional Roto one year, but it's not quite competitive enough, so we went to this format. You can add/drop however much you want, which is good because I'm going to have to scour the wire for pitchers if they don't work out.
  4. What do you guys think of my fantasy team? C: Joe Mauer $19 C: Michael Barrett $1 1B: Derrek Lee $32 2B: Aaron Hill $5 SS: Jose Reyes $41 3B: Troy Glaus $5 CI: Albert Pujols $44 MI: Howie Kendrick $8 OF: Matt Holliday $37 OF: Fukudome $4 OF: JD Drew $3 OF: Adam Jones $1 OF: Justin Upton $1 DH: Lyle Overbay $4 B: Gary Matthews $1 B: Felix Pie $1 B: Cody Ross $1 P: Bronson Arroyo $4 P: CC Sabathia $24 P: James Shields $5 P: Homer Bailey $1 P: Matt Garza $1 P: Chien-Ming Wang $7 P: Eric Gagne $2 P: Jose Valverde $3 P: Zach Greinke $3 P: Johnny Cueto $1 P: Mike Pelfrey $1 P: Rick Vandenhurk
  5. If it wasn't for all of the bat shit insane stuff he believes, I'd really like Huckabee. He seems like a great guy.
  6. Yeah, I'm thinking I'm going to be in the Obama camp from here on out. I'm not going to be out there campaigning, but I think I'll be able to say "Obama" when asked who I support.
  7. I can't believe Craigslist took down my post!
  8. Still doesn't make it non-crazy. Just because lots of people believe it doesn't mean it's not crazy. Especially if the people who believe it are, by and large, crazy. Rev. Wright is probably crazy.
  9. From what I've read, it sounds like they simply didn't read the contract right.
  10. Well, wasn't the issue over a bonus? They were being paid, but they weren't receiving the bonus (Are the A's coaches receiving it?)
  11. CNN calls Democratic nomination for Barack Obama.
  12. Yeah, I'm having a hard time feeling bad for guys who might be inconvenienced for a few days, but who are, nonetheless, paid millions of dollars to play a game.
  13. Oh, ok. I didn't know it retagged and organized the stuff for you. Good.
  14. I'm not sure you can blame that on the series. I need to get a baseball prospectus subscription... I'd spend all day on there. I'm considering going to Barnes and Noble today and just reading the 2008 BP book for a few hours. Maybe try to see what PECOTA thinks about my fantasy team... (And, you know, if anyone has a BP subscription and doesn't mind letting me use it, that could be cool.)
  15. The Expos played 19 home games each of their last two seasons in Hiram Bithorn stadium in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I considered flying down when the Marlins played them and staying with family.
  16. Alright, so I wiped my pc memory and just put all of my music on my ipod (50 gb of music), and now I need to get the music back on the pc. I've tried EphPod and YamiPod and neither of them has worked, both times doubling every song in my library for some reason. Any tips?
  17. The atmosphere for the games is pretty awesome too. Speaking of atmosphere, Dolphins stadium is a finalist to host same games for the WBC next year. I can see a Cuba-Puerto Rico matchup drawing 70,000+ and being an absolute ball. If it happens I'm going to try to go.
  18. I want to say the Yankees and Rays and Yankees and Mariners have done series in Japan before, but I could be wrong. I know for sure the Rays and Yanks did once, though. I got up early to watch them.
  19. Tommy Bowden's showing a lot of class here:
  20. The Yankees have done it a few times now, haven't they?
  21. This is very interesting. I've often wondered why it is I relate to his songs so much even though there is nothing overtly personal to me about them. Maybe this is why? I had really bad panic attacks up until about a year ago, and I've often found something vaguely comforting about Jeff's music, like some great overarching theme that I could never put my finger on but that I nevertheless could relate to, even in the most obscure of stuff.
  22. "And so, at 11 am on a tuesday, a prominent american politician spoke to Americans about race as if they were adults." That's the line.
  23. I was thinking that tonight too. I hate it.
