  1. If Turner Field had sex with PNC Park, that stadium might come out.
  2. I actually think sampling when done right (See: Late Registration, DJ Shadow's Grey Album, or the king of sample albums Paul's Boutique), can be incredibly impressive. Yeah, taking a hook right off of a popular song is annoying, but doing something like PB, where they reportedly sampled like 100 different songs, you can't say that they are doing anything but creating their own music, even if they are using other people's sounds. If you don't like hip hop, thats fine. But there's no reason to go out of your way to show off that you are an ignorant jackass.
  3. In other news (that is exciting only to me and fans of new stadiums in general), it appears the Florida Marlins will be announcing a new stadium deal within the next few weeks, as all funding has been secured. Yay!
  4. Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. I'll bet you guys are the same people who bitch and moan that Wilco isn't more popular. It's awesome.
  5. Yeah, the same complaints apply, but its still one of my favorite albums of the year. "Superstar" is an incredible song.
  6. Edmonds is so amazingly overrated in the field.
  7. Darrin Erstad is definitely roiding. That guy played football in college!
  8. I'm pretty sure if they did steroids, and a guy doing an investigation on steroid use in baseball, they probably had an idea what he wanted to talk to them about.
  9. Synopsis: Everyone you love is a cheater.
  10. If it makes you feel any better, I'm not at all surprised Gagne used.
  11. Hold Steady marathon in reverse. Boys and Girls -> Seperation Sunday -> The Hold Steady Almost Killed Me
  12. "Virtually every player on the Marlins was 'doing something' ranging from steroids and greenies, to marijuana, etc." Former Senator Mitchell served on the Florida Marlins Board of Directors in 2000 and 2001.
  13. Scott Schoeneweis On October 1, 2007, ESPN reported on its website that New York Mets pitcher Scott Schoeneweis had received six shipments of steroids from Signature Pharmacy at ComiskeyPark while he was playing for the Chicago White Sox in 2003 and 2004. Dr. Ramon Scruggs of the New Hope Health Center (the suspended California physician who also was reported to have issued prescriptions for Troy Glaus) reportedly prescribed the drugs. According to ESPN, Schoeneweis spent $1,160 on steroids, including testosterone and stanozolol. Schoeneweis denied the report.

  15. According to the notes of an internal discussion among Los Angeles Dodgers officials in October 2003 that were referred to above, it was reportedly said of Lo Duca during the meetings: Steroids aren
  16. All Stars: Sheffield, Tejada, Clemens, Pettite, Brian Roberts, Lenny Dykstra, Jason Giambi, Todd Hundley, Eric Gagne, Chuck Knoblauch, David Justice, Mo Vaughn, Denny Neagle, Mike Stanton, Paul Lo Duca, Fernando Vina, Kevin Brown, Brendan Donnelly. And you have to think the list would be even bigger if they had talked to more than just Radmonski. It seems like him and McNamee are the only sources. If those 2 are the only sources and they got this list, imagine what they could find if more people were willing to cooperate.
  17. http://files.mlb.com/mitchrpt.pdf No, not Denny Neagle.
