  1. Hows about the guitar from when Jeff and the band are playing it acoustically in the movie?
  2. This is a great sounding recording. Thanks. Anyone know where I could get the Flaming Lips performance?
  3. Unless I have a different "Either Way" in my iPod. Chapel Hill- 03/06/06 Rob, you have it down as "Maybe The Sun Will Shine Today." Pretty sure it's the same song.
  4. I guess I meant more "Roll" than "rock", i.e. Walken and Is That The Thanks I Get.
  5. Second time. It fits in with the other new songs, but not as rocking.
  6. Yeah. They rocked, but seeing as I didn't know any of the songs, I couldn't get too much into it. Plus I was just beat from 2 days of standing in the hot sun and just seeing wilco, so I couldn't bear to go down in the crowd. But it was a good set.
  7. Anyone know where I can get the Flaming Lips performance once it surfaces?
  8. Yep. Best performance of Spiders I've seen.
  9. He said "it was like Dante's" there. Great performance. Jeff was in a really great mood. I loved all of the rock star moves he's doing. It's so great. Although the Flaming Lips yesterday stole the whole damn thing. Man, that was one of the most fun experiences I've ever had. being in the middle of that huge crowd of people singing "Bohemian Rhapsody" was great. Hell of a festival though.
  10. If I could, I would definetly get a rick. They are incredible.
  11. All I can see is black and white And white and pink with blades of blue That lay between the words I think on a page I was meaning to send to You I couldn't tell if it'd bring my heart The way I wanted when I started Writing this letter to you But if I could you know I would Just hold your hand and you'd understand I'm the man who loves you All I can be is a busy sea Of spinning wheels and hands that feel for Stones to throw and feet that run but Come back home It made no difference Ever known, it made no difference Ever known to me But if I could you know I would Just hold your hand and
  12. I was gonna go with "Dairy Heir". Donna?
  13. I can drink, and I choose not to. It's not hard at all to get drinks, but it's not my thing.
  14. I didn't mean any disrespect, and I hope he doesn't feel disrespected, I was just saying something that had been bugging me.
  15. It's an internet forum. If I saw Louie in real life, i would give him nothing but the utmost respect. If you thought I was a 25 year old, it wouldn't make a difference, so whats the point?
  16. Fair enough, but fuck, give it a rest. It seems like every single thing you post nowadays has at least one reference to that show. We get it.
  17. Dude, I know this thread isn't the place for it, but can you drop the "high and mighty" bit? Seriously, we get it you don't like people drinking at a concert. Well, guess what? It's going to happen. I don't know how it was in the good old days, but I would be disapointed if a crowd was completely silent during a show. I'd bet 99% of people who go to Wilco and Tweedy shows are there for the music, but they are also there for the atmosphere. If I just wanted to hear the songs, I'd listen to the cd's. I go to shows so I can experience the music with other people and interact with the artist. Ra
  18. His father was a drinker And his mother cried in bed Folding John Wayne's T-shirts When the swingset hit his head The neighbors they adored him For his humor and his conversation Look underneath the house there Find the few living things Rotting fast in their sleep of the dead Twenty-seven people, even more They were boys with their cars, summer jobs Oh my God Are you one of them? He dressed up like a clown for them With his face paint white and red And on his best behavior In a dark room on the bed he kissed them all He'd kill ten thousand people With a sleight of his hand Running far, ru
