Wow, White Sox fans must have some terrific Kool-Aid. Fransisco Liriano is leading the league in ERA, striking out 10.5 per nine innings, and has 9 wins. Travis Hafner has 24 home runs, and 70 rbi, good for 3rd in the league. He is hitting all of .007 points lower than Pierzinski, with a .90 advantage in OBP. There is no world where either of those guys is not an all star and AJ Pierzinski is.

I fell asleep as Anibal Sanchez gave up 5 runs in the first inning. Then I woke up as the Marlins were scoring 7 runs in the 2nd. Then I fell alseep again until the Marlins gave up 2 runs in the 7th. Then I woke up as the Marlins worst pitcher somehow didn't give up a run with players on 2nd and 3rd. My mind can't take this.

Jeff Weaver Traded To Cardinals Breaking word is that Jeff Weaver has been dealt to the Cardinals for minor league outfielder Terry Evans plus cash considerations. Evans is a 24 year-old outfielder currently hitting .307/.369/.640 in 75 ABs for the Cards' Double A affiliate. He struggled in High Class A last year, but mastered the level in two months this season. He's been described as the "out of nowhere prospect who mashed his way out of A ball" by Viva El Birdos. Weaver is expected to join the team in Houston.

Sorry, I got that from a Marlins site and didn't catch that. It's "Big Moe" Brian Moehler (who has pitched much better than the ERA suggests, with 6/8 quality starts in that period).
