Manny had a .926 OPS in the first half of last season. Ok, he was bad in May. He was awesome in April and June. Like I said, I wish all players disrespected the game like that. I wish my entire team disrespected the Marlins like that.

I wish all players would disgrace the game to a .926 OPS. Manny is one of my all time favorites. He is one of the few guys in the game that looks like he truly has fun when he plays, and he's a joy to watch. He's also one of the best pure hitters of his or any time, and despite his reputation, is an extremely hard worker at perfecting his craft. Plus, he high fived a dude on the stand while making a catch and then made a double play. You have to be insanely aware to be able to pull that off.

Josh Johnson has a career 3.45 ERA, and did you see him today? Ok, he might not be Tim Lincecum, but I'd say he's as good or better than more than half of the teams in baseball's no. 1 starter. Man, that's kind of a dick move to throw a 24 year old kid under the bus like that. Not that he's wrong, but you don't usually see guys say it like that.

It's not really his fault he is sorely misused in that lineup. His high on base, no slugging style is a perfect fit for the leadoff spot. He had basically the exact same OBP as "Best Leadoff Hitter in the History of the World" Jose Reyes last season. Stick him there and let him hit .250 and get on base at the same rate as Reyes.
