Suggestions to replace a dying 160gb iPod Classic?
Sir Stewart replied to Magnetized's topic in Someone Else's Song
Yeah Google Play may be the way to go, since I only have about 19,000 songs. I had uploaded all my files to my own server space a while ago thinking I'd figure out some way to stream directly from there, but that doesn't seem to be an option. -

Thanks - I'm confused as to how Plex or MyTunesRSS (or similar software) work. You keep a computer on at all times that stores your files? -

I'm nearing the end of a three-month free trial of Apple Music and it sucks in so many ways I can't imagine paying for the service. For one thing, say you're listening to an album and you quit the app. The next time you open it, you get a welcome screen with no way to play from where you were. You have to search for the artist/album again to play it (you can also open History but that only goes back so far). It's ridiculous, and there's a hundred little fucked up things like that about Apple Music that turn me way off. I wish there was some simple way to stream my own music library. -
Thanks!

Your comment about covers reminded me how disappointed I was learning there'd be covers on Emancipation, and even the first single was a cover! Prince don't do covers, man! People cover Prince!

Seconded!

I was too young. My brothers and sisters all did. The next youngest to me, my brother, was initially told by my parents he couldn't see it. Then we were in our room, him sulking, when my father popped his head in: "Prince is still a pig, but you can go." It's funny to think of what a threat Prince was then. Dude nearly singlehandedly inspired parental warning stickers on records.

He did make it hard to stay obsessed after a while, didn't he? My own obsession started with Sign O The Times, even though I was already a big fan before then (owned Purple Rain and Around The World In A Day). Sign O The Times hit when I was 14, as I was breaking free from my (4) elder siblings' (indispensable) influences. I feel like I matured from being a kid listening to that record (cassette, actually). It expanded my worldview and validated my more embarrassing thoughts and feelings. It's still my favorite of his. He remained my #1 over the next four years, through Graffiti Bridge (maybe

I had a dream my sister was running a local Trump campaign office. Glad to wake up from that. Still waiting on waking up from this dream where she's a Trump supporter. -
Poor kid.

Somehow I have 2 LP copies of Back In Black, and it's not even one of my favorite records.

This has always been part of your mystique, to me.

Coachella plans massive classic rock concert

Except Live Aid - as long as they're using albeits this counts, albeit on separate continents. -
Hopefully the drumming. God that guy is bad.

I don't understand this.

I think his size adds to the visual, but I recall in live footage Axl always seeming nearly out of breath and sweaty.

Wasn't he always like that?

Kinda like your posts!

Stupid? Fuck you - all I did to earn the ridiculous reply bronzed in my sig was the same thing as above - I disagreed with a prediction of yours, you fucking tit. God, I was trying to be playful there, but you are truly a grade A douche sometimes.
