  1. This is what I assume, too. Kanye probably gets paid by MTV to do this.
  2. I was just goofin on ya. Take it easy caveman. EDIT: Sorry, I can't help it - your post was worded terribly. And though you claim to not even consider watching the VMAs, you know that someone named Lady Gaga is battling rumors that she is a hermaphrodite.
  3. You're so old you don't even consider watching the VMAs, you just watch them?
  4. Back again. The footage of the boys and their peoples traipsing around on a yacht while shopping for a Greek island in '67 is just awesome.
  5. Some info: http://wapedia.mobi/en/Yellow_Submarine_%28film%29?t=8.#8.
  6. I understand it. Good review beneath the madness.
  7. I don't know the facts, but I do know the film aired on TV here throughout the late 70s and 80s without that scene, and the initial VHS release of it didn't have it either. I never saw the scene until I went to see the re-release (two nights in a row! )
  8. Right - but the hullabaloo about the scene being added to the film's re-release turned into (at least in the States) "lost Beatles track to be released!!"
  9. Hey Bulldog used to be obscure, before the movie's re-release and the accompanying 'songtrack'. Remember the media hubbub over the 'unearthed' Beatles song at that time, and it turned out to be Hey Bulldog? WTF was that about?
  10. I don't see the two as the same type of animal. For me, Facebook's purpose is my friends' status updates, notes, links to web pages, video postings, and (to a lesser extent) events. MySpace, whose layout is just impenetrable, is maybe about a song starting when you open the page then you spend ten minutes waiting for all the graphics to load and why am I here again?
  11. His forehand took care of just about everything Federer threw at him. Incredible.
  12. This comes up once in awhile around these parts.
  13. I bought the deluxe Joshua Tree - it was definitely worth it. Just the other day I was just reading the accompanying hard cover volume that comes with it. And the DVD has a July 4 '87 show in Paris, which is excellent, along with a documentary from '87 which I remember seeing on MTV. My only issue is they didn't stuff all the music videos on it. Just Red Hill Mining Town (which is horrendous) and With Or Without You.
  14. But admit it - you probably would've said that ("ball in hole") if the thread was just about Michael Jordan's induction into the Hall of Fame, without the sideshow about him acting like a jerk.
