  1. Saw Force Awakens again last night and noticed in the end credits, Leia is credited as "Princess Leia" which seems strange, since it's incorrect.
  2. She wakes up when they say DEAL FROM STRENGTH OR GET CRUSHED EVERY TIME which incidentally looks like when the 'clap along' light must've been lit.
  3. How's that Mickey Rourke rap verse aged?
  4. Maybe my brother made that up. I guess it was SRV's management that pulled the plug: https://web.archive.org/web/20160105182300/http://www.guitarplayer.com/artists/1013/stevie-ray-vaughan-disses-david-bowie-in-1986-interview--video/51709
  5. I recall Stevie being pissed off at Bowie for appearing to play SRV's guitar part in the Let's Dance video, and refusing to tour based on that. But that's my 42 year old brain trying to recall something my 11 year old brain took in.
  6. Found it - although, I must've dreamed Eddie was with Valerie in this: https://youtu.be/xLn_Tw88EU8
  7. The chute wasn't a straight drop into the compacter; our heroes were taken on a circuitous ride to end up dumped there. Shots fired into the getaway vent wouldn't successfully reach them. And I only wrote 1977 because it seemed easier than writing A New Hope or whatever. Yes I am talking about the link Winston provided - it was a big deal when it premiered, and I distinctly recall the segments with celebrities waxing nostalgic within a frame of hyperspace stars.
  8. Anyone remember when Star Wars (1977) premiered on network TV and they showed celebrities at the commercial breaks talking about the first time they saw it? Eddie Van Halen and Valerie Bertinelli were on their couch being interviewed. Cannot find any trace of this online.
  9. Raise a cyberpint on Saturday: http://www.theguardian.com/music/2016/jan/06/lemmys-funeral-to-be-live-streamed-on-youtube
  10. I watched Jurassic World last night and good gravy, if that's why they hired Tom Tomorrow or whatever his name is to direct, then Episode IX is going to be the ultimate SW fan fiction orgasm to end the trilogy. Which makes sense, because that means VIII, with the edgy choice of Rian Johnson at the helm, will mirror/ape Episode V.
  11. Beltmann unsurprisingly nailed my takeaway from the movie. I walked away exhilarated and at the same time thinking this film's script could probably have been shopped around Hollywood in 1978 looking to be picked up by a low-rent production company hoping to cash in on the SW craze. No matter: I still can't wait to see it again. I assume the Wilhelm Scream was from a stormtrooper?
  12. Wow, this is another lifetime.
  13. I would chalk that up to Bono's bike accident. He's not what he once was physically, and most of the energy you're talking about would emanate from him.
  14. I agree with all your points except I think Trump will win Iowa.
  15. I've probably posted these here before, but I was cleaning out some stuff on my site, and rediscovered these (links open PDFs): Mark Lewisohn's The Beatles Recording Sessions Mark Lewisohn's The Complete Beatles Chronicle Searching VC for Lewisohn it turns out I got those files from someone who shared them here. Ha.
  16. I can't find any info on this, but I recall Ringo recording a drum track for Love Me Do sometime in the late 90s. Anyone?
  17. Bob Weir in an 80s Safeway ad for charity: https://youtu.be/li8KBYFK5PY?t=6m23s
  18. The Ludwig logo in the pic is different than the one in the band pic, too. The 'g' looks cut off in the band pic - and I just spent way too much time investigating if it's cut off in the performance that pic is from. It's not. I think it means Paul really was dead.
