  1. I just need to get over his face - I hated it so much last fall.
  2. Yeah, I guess I don't see the point in pointing that out in this case - it's pretty common knowledge that pro athletes have harems across the country. It's not surprising that a ballplayer is cheating, but it's newsworthy (I think) that he's getting divorced, as it sheds some light on a possible reason he's sucked to high heaven at the plate all season.
  3. Frank N. Furter: Jiminy Cricket Brad Majors: Steve Austin Janet Weiss: Jamie Sommers Riff Raff: Hagrid Magenta: Diane Lane's character from Streets of Fire Columbia: Tracy Flick Dr. Scott: Chest Rockwell Rocky: John Candy's character from JFK Eddie: Meat Loaf (what else has he got to do?)
  4. Thanks ikol, I just clicked on your profile by accident - in case you notice that over the next few days, you won't have to think 'Why did he click on my profile when I wished him Happy Birthday?'
  5. I am honored that this was discovered on this day, in this thread.
  6. Stay with Via Chicago for all your Bon Iver news!
  7. At the risk of mentioning something tabloid-esque: Sox catcher Jason Varitek (above) is splitting with his wife, Karen. The team captain filed for divorce July 28 in Gwinnett County, Ga., where the couple live in the offseason. They were married in 1997 and have three daughters, ages 8, 6, and 3. Varitek is in the final year of a four-year, $40-million contract he signed after the BoSox won the World Series in 2004. He'll be a free agent at the end of this season, though he turns 37 in April and is hitting just .216. Neither Varitek's attorney, Pamela Tremayne, nor his wife's attorney, Jonatha
  8. I've always had a soft spot for fIREHOSE's Live Totem Pole EP - "Hope I don't fuck it up Gibby!"
  9. Thanks everybody - I got to class and they'd decorated my desk with streamers, a plant and a bottle of Stella!
  10. I'm surprised this one isn't on everyone's list. I guess I don't know enough YLT tunes...?
  11. Yes - I enjoyed this much more than i thought I would.
  12. Spiderwick Chronicles got pretty good reviews - maybe they just pegged you as a stoner, since it has some wacky visuals, too. EDIT: Mary-Louise Parker is in both, so I guess that's the connection.
  13. GENEVA (AFP) - A giant inflatable dog turd by American artist Paul McCarthy blew away from an exhibition in the garden of a Swiss museum, bringing down a power line and breaking a greenhouse window before it landed again, the museum said Monday. The art work, titled "Complex S(expletive..)", is the size of a house. The wind carried it 200 metres (yards) from the Paul Klee Centre in Berne before it fell back to Earth in the grounds of a children's home, said museum director Juri Steiner. The inflatable turd broke the window at the children's home when it blew away on the night of July 31
  14. I spent a good five or six hours not posting. It was insane.
