They had him on there to examine the vote count. Something that he is good at. But he's still living off his reputation from 2000 when he knew the networks called Florida wrong, which is why he was adamant about calling Ohio too soon. He was 100% wrong this time, though, and everybody there was rightfully disagreeing with him.
As far as having him on in the role he was in versus his contributions to Romney, I'm not sure it's such a big deal. He doesn't host his own show, everybody knows where he is coming from anyway, and his role on election night was limited to examining the vote numbers. That being said, I would be surprised if Fox News had him back next time.
And it isn't as bad or worse than people say. It is slanted to the right, but give me a break, it's not the cabal of right-wing nutjobs that it is constantly portrayed as. No more so than MSNBC is a bastion of leftist apologists. Of course, at least Fox News gives equal time to all sides...something MSNBC can't claim. Especially on election night.

Remember if a pundits complains about the moderator or how mean the other guy was, is actually code for their guy lost.
Nicolle Wallace is doing that just now.

Why not?
But it never had a stinking chance.
Given the emotional and addictive state of various members of the band, not achieveing massive success is probably a good thing.
Don't get me wrong, Candyfloss is excellent, but in 1999 the teenage girls were listening to Backstreet Boys, NSync, and other boy bands.
-
And it just works so much better.
With all the angst for producing a hit single off SUMMERTEETH, I have alwasy been somewhat surprised that Candyfloss was ingored and almost didn't even make the record.
Back in the day, it's just the kind of song that could had caught the ears of teenage girls.
Do you mean back in 1999 this song would catch the ears of teenage girls?

We recorded this with Grammy award winning engineer Jim Tullio in 2009 based off of the one time Jeff performed this song. We couldn't release it until Wilco released their version as they held the copyright. So, finally here it is!

It is incredibly eerie to me that my band's version of "Listening To The Wind That Blows" which we recorded in 2009 is so similar to Wilco's.

Listening to the Wind that Blows -- excellent track. Grab it from Tweedy's last solo show at Lounge Ax. Looking forward to hearing this treatment.
I actually recorded that song based off the live performance. I wanted to release it on my band's album, but after talking to Nora Guthrie, we couldn't until Jeff/Wilco released it first based on copyright laws.

Thanks for the kind words but I kind of feel like I brought things down so let me just say, this is one of the cutest damn pictures I have ever seen. What breed is that? I would give a days pay to nuzzle that muzzle.
Tank is an Olde English Bulldogge. Olde English Bulldogges are different than the English Bulldogs as they are much healthier. Their faces aren't smushed so they have an easier time breathing and they don't really have bowed legs which is great for not having hip problems. They are also a bit taller than the English Bulldog, as they are being bred back out to how they used to be in the 1800s.

This is Tank.

I think it is just drop d. In watching the NPR Tiny Desk concert, Jeff only tunes the low E string to get it back to standard after playing Whole Love.
-
Yours is pretty accurate to how I play it. I'll have to give it a go with the double drop d.
-
It is Drop D. I'll try to put up how I play it tomorrow.
-
Like this, I think:
D D6 I been young, I been old D D6 I been hurt and consoled Em C Heart of cold, heart of gold - so I'm told D D6 I been lost, I been found D D6 I been taken by the sound of Em G C my own voice Voices in my head D A Em G I can't help it if I fall in D A Em G love with you again I'm calling D A Em G just to let you know it dawned on me
Damn thinks don't line up well, but I think there is a G (020030) at "my own voice Voices in my head" between the Em and C. This occurs only in the second half of the verse.
There is. It is also in drop C. The way he plays the Em is 222000.

Got through, no tickets available.

Thanks for 2005 Ozzie, but don't let the door hit you on the way out.
-
It is drop D.
For the verses he just hits the Low D string on the 5th, 7th, 2nd, and 9th frets.
The riff he plays is this: e|-0------0--| b|-0------0--| g|-4------5--| d|-0------0--| a|-5------7--| d|-5------7--| e|-0------0--| b|-0------0--| g|-0------7--| d|-2------0--| a|-2------9--| d|-2------9--| Also he plays this during the chorus: e|-5------7--| b|-5------7--| g|-5------7--| d|-5------7--| a|-7------9--| d|-7------9--|

I can't help it if I fall in love with you again I'm calling just to let you know it dawned on me
I'm calling it one line since it's all sung in one long breath.
I was actually going to post this for the same exact reasoning. You beat me to the punch.

I'm enjoying the handclaps on Standing O.

Does anyone else think Capitol City has a "Broken Arrow" feel to it?
-
You are correct. I'm just too lazy to update it.

It is for the German Rolling Stone.
