  1. These are the thoughts and opinions of myself: I wanted to post this yesterday, but I woke up feeling severely depressed. Was it because I saw Avatar 2 nights before or was it because I was at an Oscar Party and it was more of a social event and I didn't really get to listen to the speeches etc.? It may be a bit of both. I wish I DVRed the damn show though. Or maybe my parallel universe self had a bad breakup? I was surprised by some of the awards. I really felt this year was about "Making Everyone Happy" aka spread the awards evenly. That really didn't happen like I thought that it wou
  2. I think I got my Concord tix (which is the next night's show) last Thursday. I was surprised to not see my Boston tix in the same UPS envelope. I understand that it's 2 different order numbers but come on let's save on shipping. So I called Front Gate and almost had a heart attack when the guy told me that my order was "Declined" then he said "wait no that's not right...ok I see it now." He said to expect them before the show. NO SHIT.
  3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4iIYRZWBd9Y&feature=player_embedded This guy is a delusional wanna be 80s action movie star. Plus, he claims that he shot, edited, & did everything on this video. Keep dreaming pal!
  4. The Wolfman - I actually went to go see this way back when I reviewed (bite sized) like 10 movies on President's Day. I took my dad and he liked it. I thought that the 1st 25 minutes or so seemed like they were directed by someone with ADD. Hopkins & Benicio kind of "said" their lines without any kind of focus. It's almost like they didn't stick. The words just kind of floated in the scene. Or it's like they woke up Hopkins from a trailer nap and he came in & was half asleep. It sounded lazy. So it was tough to pay attention and in the moment I couldn't tell if it was bad camera placem
  5. Bump It Up If you don't really mean it. Instead of making another thread for the same show and the same request I edited the original post. I am now in search of 2 single tickets to this show. They do not need to be together, since this is for 2 different friends. The edit is a result of a new friend of mine who had a chance to see Wilco, but his girlfriend at the time didn't buy him a ticket. Let's just say she might be his ex now because of this. Both friends are willing to pay face value.
  6. I have 2 different sound quality versions of this song from the Pines Theater show in 2006. One is ok and the other sounds pretty damn good. I'll dig them up at some point.
  7. I came close to putting Lars & The Real GIrl. It's my 26th most underrated film.
  8. Uh Oh! A bunch of people are submitting photos now.
  9. But I think the satisfaction of the "band wagon" fans of the show will make or break Lost in the eyes and minds of the collective consciousness. I can see a HUGE backlash (from the above crowd) once May 23rd rolls around. It's not going to matter to me, but I fear for trying to get people to watch the show when it's all been said & done. You know, those people that waited to watch it when it was finished. They might say "Why bother?!"(of course, if the above happens after May 23rd)
  10. Anyone that expects them to answer everything has serious issues. And what bleedorange said... I think the show will live on better if some things are left unanswered. People will still watch the show to try to put the pieces together. At this point I'm not watching the show for answers. I'm watching it to see where the story goes. That being said I think ABC is going a bit over board in promising and leading a massive campaign revolving around "ANSWERS WILL BE GIVEN". That's going to upset a lot of people when that doesn't hold true.
  11. In fact, there's an old Lost Webisode where Christian talks to Vincent. I'll have to look it up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fuXzPnhhsJ0
  12. RE: The Passion Of The Christ I remember seeing this in the theater & getting really pissed off because people were loudly eating candy and popcorn during it. This is a film about Jesus Christ that suffered for our sins. I'm not a practicing Catholic anymore, but I showed him some respect by not stuffing my mouth with Goobers. Some people.
  13. Yeah but Liam Neeson is going to come in and kick all kinds of ass and then be the only one left standing. RE: Christian Wouldn't it be funny if Vincent had a bigger part in the Island mythology than we thought? Maybe he's God?
  14. He is going to sew the Sayid of love...sew the Sayid of love. Maggie Grace is coming back. And she's bringing Liam Neeson with her.
  15. Why they are at the food court, of course.
  16. Hi, I'd like to borrow your kids. Ma'am, how much for that spider in the window? Sir, may I please have a box of cigarettes?
  17. http://www.facebook.com/OrpheumBoston?ref=nf Good Luck!
  18. RE: Nicolas Cage's Matchstick Man I remember the scene vividly as a teenage boy watching this on HBO (as I stated) late at night and when I saw "IT" I didn't know what type of movie I was secretly watching. Here is a recount of the scene in spoilers, so I won't breach NSFW protocol So I did some research on youtube. I'm pretty sure that it's there. The only other thing would be his left side of his pants by his zipper. OK. Enough about this topic. I just wanted to prove that I wasn't imagining things 20 years ago. I'm not haunted by Nicolas Cage's penis for the record. This rem
  19. I remember watching this on HBO when I was a teenager in the 90s. If I'm not mistaken, don't you see Nicolas Cage's penis as Lara Flynn Boyle goes down there to find his Matchstick Man? RE: The Definition Of Underrated: I agree with what Crow Daddy wrote. I think a better thread title would have been Films You Love That People May Not Be Aware Of (ok..maybe not) or Under The Radar Films I almost listed Mulholland Drive & The Thin Red Line but both are Academy Award nominated which really means nothing down the road, since most people remember the winners. If anything my list of 20 ar
  20. The Best 5 Minutes Of Atonement RE: The 2007 Amazing Film List I see one major omission, well 2 actually. Eastern Promises (OK, I just noticed it now. Sorry) Across The Universe (I still love and adore this film.)
