  1. Saw Night Shop (Justin Sullivan) at Gold-Diggers in L.A. tonight. Had a massive good time, still can't wind down at almost 3 a.m! He just gets better and better.
  2. This is a terrific interview with Susie, discussing The Tweedy Show and more. https://www.talkhouse.com/sue-tweedy-talks-the-tweedy-show-lounge-ax-and-the-stuff-in-her-house/
  3. I have all the details now of our origin story! I will be sharing with all of you next week. As soon as I can get it all properly written up.
  4. Happy for ya, Jon! The better team won.
  5. Your review has me intrigued! I'll look for it.
  6. Wishing you all much "candy left over from Halloween" and not too many monster encounters!
  7. ...for a quarter century now! "Being There" has been dazzling us all since it was released 25 years ago today, and has sure proven its staying power. Those songs sound as fresh as the day I first heard them. 💜 An album for the ages!
  8. Thanks for your detective work! I'll take your word for it. Seems right. And Paul, without your detailed recaps, I'd remember half the shows wrong. It all swirls past so fast. I deeply appreciate that you keep it all in order and record the banter moments that give the show its personality. 💗
  9. That's always so weird when people do that! Unless someone is suddenly deathly ill, I don't get it. I wish I could ask them! And leaving last night's show just boggles my mind. It was that good.
  10. Here's the setlist, as Paul said, played straight through with no changes.
  11. It's too late in the set to be RNG, we got that second. I was trying to figure it by photo order but I didn't take too many. This is the next photo I took.
  12. I like this picture from tonight. Mostly I was too blocked for a clear photo, but that's fine because I loved that the crowd was enthusiastic and standing and dancing! So who can identify which song this was?
  13. Although I have to say, we had a guy directly behind me who opted for the first option, to sing along. He seemed determined to get his voice up & over Jeff's own! It took some dedicated glaring by my husband & I to get him to mute it a bit. Still better than that couple behind you, Brian!
  14. It was a terrific set even without poor places and reservations. But I wish we'd got them, too. Yep, I'm greedy. I wish I could relive that encore about a dozen times in a row.
  15. On to the Orpheum! I'm in Row K the first night, row H the second. Come say hello! I'll wear my Tweedy Show Clients Union pin to identify myself. 😄
  16. Dan, you write a glorious review! I'm sorry I missed you but so glad we both got to see that show! It was passionate, top of their game, HELLO L.A. WE'RE BACK joyousness. Ode to Joy, it really was. I felt joy I haven't felt since before the pandemic. Damn I love this band. Like no other.
  17. Lucky you!!! I'll buy you a Moscow Mule next door at the Roger Room on the 1st or 2nd. I only got those two nights, what with the driving and holiday season and finances. But they'll be golden. You'll love Largo. Intimate and well-run!
  18. I just kickstarted a bit of support your way. So close to the goal; good luck!
  19. See you both places, Dan! I've just gotten tickets for January 1st and 2nd...quite the brilliant start to 2022, with the Tweedy band on that great little stage.
  20. Hi all, I will be there, with a gaggle of friends...Palladium and both nights Orpheum And then Kevin Morby at the Ace the next night...I plan to be exhausted after this week, but the coming week will be FUN. 😊 From L.A. and elsewhere, who'll be there? I'm so glad to resume careful live shows! 💜
  21. Paul, as always, your review puts me RIGHT there in the crowd. Thanks! You are born to write.
  22. I'm going to need Pot Kettle Black in L.A. at some point. Work your magic.🙂
  23. I'm a sucker for a good dog story!
