  1. I totally remember that! I thought it was really cool at the time.
  2. Like Onan! I'm posting Biblical sexual innuendo from work like this!
  3. Aw man... I'm really sad about this. Syd was an amazing talent. RIP, you crazy diamond.
  4. Where'd you grow up? Every New Year's Eve the Nuge would throw the Wild Man's Ball in Detroit. I wonder if he still does that.
  5. Yay Tim Easton! I don't know who the lucky ladies are, but this photo does how insanely short Tim is. Mmm, short guys.
  6. I know that the enormous amount of crashing and banging around in my neighborhood this morning is not because of garbage collection day (which is tomorrow), but rather some sort of construction. I think they're putting in a new sewer on 39th street.
  7. A few years ago, I had a swollen lymph node in my neck, and the doctor thought I might have cat-scratch disease, more commonly known as... cat-scratch fever. So I went to get a blood test, told them what it was for, and everyone at the blood-draw station started singing Ted Nugent. It was awesome.
  8. Wow, Eddie Izzard is very cute when not in drag. (In drag, he's just fabulous. ) And now, two of my favorite Austinites:
  9. I just realized that Paul Bettany counts as six degrees of Bowie separation, since he's married to Jennifer Connelly...
  10. David Bowie's buddy: One of David Bowie's heroes: It's all about "six degrees of David Bowie" today, I guess...
  11. The boys still have their RSGF thread full of boobies, so I believe that in the interest of gender equity, the RSBF thread needs to make a comeback. So, with that in mind, I bring you Paul Bettany's ass. And he's pretty good-looking from the front, too. YAY OBJECTIFICATION!!11!
  12. I plugged in Wilco also, and it started with "Company in My Back," then played Jeff Rolka, Jason Anderson, and Michael Zapruder. I've heard of Anderson but not the other two. I could hear the resemblances to Wilco even though the songs were all a little bland for my taste. Plugging in Jim O'Rourke got me a bunch of obscure experimental stuff rather than music similar to "Eureka" or "Insignficance," so that was interesting too. I can see I'm going to spend a lot of time playing with this thing...
  13. You're beautiful more beautiful than me You're honorable more honorable than me Loyal to the Bank of America It's a sign of the times It's a sign of the times You're sharpening stones, walking on coals To improve your business acumen. Sharpening stones, walking on coals, To improve your business acumen. Vested interest united ties, landed gentry rationalize Look who bought the myth, by jingo, buy America It's a sign of the times it's a sign of the times You're sharpening stones, walking on coals To improve your business acumen. Sharpening stones, walking on coals, To improve your bus
  14. Once again... I am totally jealous and totally happy for all of you guys. And I love the pictures. I love how much Miles looks like his mom. Jeff's new "look" is a bit disconcerting, though.
  15. Golden rod and the 4-H stone The things I brought you When I found out you had cancer of the bone Your father cried on the telephone And he drove his car to the Navy yard Just to prove that he was sorry In the morning through the window shade When the light pressed up against your shoulder blade I could see what you were reading Oh the glory that the Lord has made And the complications you could do without When I kissed you on the mouth Tuesday night at the Bible study We lift our hands and pray over your body But nothing ever happens I remember at Michael's house In the living room
  16. Wow, great stories, great pictures. Thanks so much for sharing with us! I think I'm going to snag the "Jim ruins records" for my new desktop.
