Way too many Yankees and Red Sox in that starting line-up. I know my boy Pudge isn't the best catcher in the AL right now, but I'm glad to see him get the nod, since if it weren't him, it probably would have been Posada or Varitek. Mauer really deserves it though, and if not him, then V-Mart for sure.

The Tigers, White Sox and Twins have won a combined 40 of their last 46 games. Best division in baseball? The Royals obviously bring it down quite a bit, but with three teams that good (or at least that hot right now), there's a pretty good case to be made I think. A better case if the Indians start to win somewhere close to as often as they should.

Yeah, Cy Young used to start like 50-60 games a year. Those stats really aren't comparable over such different eras. Aside from the facts that wins are the most team-dependent of all stats.
