The songs on Vol. 1 were okay; I'm just not a fan of her voice. I'm not familiar with the backstory...why should we expect no vocals from M. Ward?

Happy birthday!

Now I understand why it was scrapped.

Congratulations, Chris!!!!

Which was the one that was planned for Anthology 3 but scrapped after George Harrison didn't like the result? (At least, I think I read that that had happened...)

U2 - 360 Degrees Tour "Cheap Seats"
Elixir Sue replied to auctioneer69's topic in Someone Else's Song
Similar situation for me...I saw them for the first time in October (in Tampa). I had a GA ticket and fortunately got there early enough to be in the "inner circle" area under the claw, which was pretty awesome. I absolutely loved the show - not sure if it helped that I was close to the stage or that I had never seen them before. Anyway, I heard good things about the video screens from people who had seats farther back. Before that show, I thought that I only needed to see them once in my life, but now I'm thinking I need to see them again. Have fun! -
Alison Mosshart? Good call.

QFT. I had seen them once before, actually, and was NOT converted. It was the loudest show I've ever been to, and full of redneck fans who just seemed like they wanted to fight, or 'git 'er done'. The Charleston show was a much better experience despite the weird crowd.

Hope you had a fun birthday, Brianne!

They fucking rocked, and yes, I am a convert. Thanks again for the ticket, Greg! How often do you get to rock out that close to the band and improve your blackjack skills on the same day?? Good times. Edit: Here's one of the pics I took...they all turned out pretty blurry, but this one shows what a great spot we had.

Reality's overrated. More shows, please!

It was a really fun show, made even more awesome by their Three Amigos costumes:

Can someone please explain the Tweedy "Living Room Shows"?

I stood inside the door once for about 10 seconds, just to say I had been inside. Totally worth it. Good to see you on here, Andrew! -
I have to admit, a little shoving can be fun at a GA show every now and then. At the Sunday night show, however, I had a ton of space behind me and was pleasantly surprised that I wasn't squished against the rail the whole show.

Thank you for the setlist tweets! I was refreshing obsessively during the whole show. -
Happy birthday, Froggie!!!

Tortoise: talented musicians but not my cup of tea. Also, when Jeff said they were playing a greatest hits show, I'm pretty sure Kim and I looked like this: -

The setlist was a little too SBS/W(TA) heavy for my taste, but I thought it was a fun show. I freaked out when they played I'm Always In Love - that alone was worth standing in line all day. I loved seeing all of you and I wish I could go to the show tonight. Have fun!! -
Yeah, they do have great deals, but I've found that in order to get Southwest's cheap fares you usually need to buy them pretty far in advance. I just checked their site and for the same days (17th - 19th) it's $127 each way.

Radio Cure!

No, round trip! I got mine on American, but there were some United flights popping up on kayak.com for the same price.

Johnny, you can get a flight from Cincinnati for $96!
