  1. love it, of course. not quite so much as the bfb, but still quite good... for me, again: good lord i love this band...
  2. ^gonna listen to time bomb high school next... just finishing:
  3. i think it's great. most definintely a different atmosphere than bsb... lighter, it would seem, even though some of the subject matter is still pretty dark. the lyrics are okkervil river quality, and will sheff has never sounded better, imo. i am LOVING john allyn smith sails - the whole song...
  4. this is bloody brilliant. initial highlights for me: Unless It's Kicks - Plus Ones - i think the lyrics are ultra clever... John Allyn Smith Sails - will sheff seems to have taken his vocals up a notch, he sounds fabulous.
  5. makes me wish i'd written a more coherent, encompassing review... T - just found out you am i are coming to denver next month! same place brakes played, incidentally.
  6. *sigh*... just getting better and better all the time. though there's still 6 months to go - at this point, boxer and armchair apocrypha are battling it out for album of the year...
  7. ^^that was the highlight for me too when i saw them last year.
  8. this is hilarious to me because i've been thinking the same thing since i first heard the album. it's ok to admit it now because you admitted it first...
  9. yup, i'm listening to johnny and the moon now, and they are awesome. oh i can't wait to see them.
  10. while i've had the new white stripes for a while, just haven't been able to bring myself to listen to it yet. i guess because i figure i'm going to hate it. who knows. anyway, just finished: then i think onto: because (1) i love them, and (2) i just found out they're coming to town for a july 4th show!
  11. the brighton they are referring to is brighton, co - i learned from their blog... and i gotta tell you, it's not much either. i hope whatever birmingham they find makes up for the brightons and londons of north america.
  12. i rarely pay that much for a show these days, but it's a price i'm willing to pay for those 2 bands...
  13. Alright, Tualla, mission accomplished. I'm hooked, and firmly entrenched in the VC Broken Family Band faction.
  14. Robert, you're so sweet... hope all is well with you, my friend. now playing, thanks to all the ryan hoopla lately (and because i'm afraid i'll burn out on easy tiger if i listen to it one more time this week... ):
  15. can't wait for the red rocks show... it's gonna be awesome!
