  1. That's ok...Dallas isn't crazy about you either.
  2. My great great grandfather and his two younger brother served in the 1st Texas Regiment and fought in every major engagement of the Army of Northern Virginia (except Chancellorsville). Family History says they served to the bitter end at Appomatox. At the Battle of Chicamauga, it is told that the three brothers shared a campfire with Pat Cleburne, the Anglo-Irish emigre General.
  3. In a more enlightened age, Majel Barrett Roddenberry might have rated a Federation command. As it was, she helped rule the Star Trek universe. Roddenberry, the actress whose best-known role was the wife and, later, widow of Trek creator Gene Roddenberry, died today at her Bel Air, Calif., home, Roddenberry.com said. The reported cause of death was leukemia. Billed through much of her acting career as Majel Barrett, the dark-haired Roddenberry played Dr. McCoy's blonde, beehived assistant, Nurse Chapel, on the original 1966-69 Trek series. She also supplied the voice of the USS Enterprise's
  4. ...I don't know if I have mentioned this before, but I have social anxiety disorder, claustrophobia and just a burgeoining dose of agoraphobia. I don't get out much.
  5. BORN TO RUN Brown Sugar Anarchy in the UK Feels Like the First Time You Haven't done Nothing Go Your Own Way September Gurls Watching the Detectives The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face Tangled Up in Blue
  6. No excuses. Dallas is missing a starting cornerback, a starting safety, a spectacular #2 runningback, 2 left guards. Starting running back shouldn't have played, QB beat to shit and a bat shit crazy wide reciever.
  7. I wouldn't use Allen Texas as a representative view of Texas. Just one of the most affluent suburbs in the Dallas area. Neighborhoods without sidewalks in developed areas are an affectation...you know...looking for that bucolic feel.
  8. ...we don't have basements in Texas Bubba
  9. Interesting thing is Barton is an Aggie...which means he is not doing it out of some love for UT and the anger with the way they were 'unfairly' (QQ) treated.
  10. I think the Beatles could have hit the road in 68-69 and rolled out killer performances... This clip from the David Frost show is a live/stuido mix (keyboards studio...vocals and other instruments live) should make your Beatle pants go wild Revolution
  11. There is no doubt in my mind that Obama had less than zero to do with this mess, but he simply doesn't need this distraction at this time
  12. I'll take James Brown over Ricky Gervais any day of the week bubba.
  13. I think I've posted this one before...but it is sheer genius
  14. I think the Beatles could have transitioned to a killer live act in late 68 early 69 if they had had the desire to do so... edit: a non intentional non-sequitir.
  15. Curtis: Well, the Sister was right. You boys could use a little churching up. Slide on down to the Triple Rock, and catch Rev. Cleophus. You boys listen to what he's got to say. Jake: Curtis, I don't want to listen to no jive-ass preacher talking to me about Heaven and Hell. Curtis: Jake, you get wise. You get to church.
  16. I know some of you have a real dislike for these guys...but I really like ONLY BY THE NIGHT. I find the move to a more sophisticated production style works for them. I was playing it when I picke up D-man from school the other day and he assumed it was a Traffic CD. He thought that Caleb's vocals sounded like Steve Winwood. I never made that connection, but to an unprejudiced ear...maybe.
  17. Well...if I were a Major League Baseball player...I wouldn't choose a Wilco song. I would probably choose REVOLUTION or HIGHWAY TO HELL.
