In my garage is an old shop with many drawers. I was looking for something, opening them systematically. I began to hear thrumming coming from inside one of the drawers. I opened it to find a giant wolf spider beside the carcass of a Carolina wren. The spider was drumming it's front legs to warn me away. I backed slowly out of the garage.
Holy Jesus, where in the Amazon jungle do you live??

Holy Shit: Pavement Reunion is Real!. I'm only on board if Gary Young makes an appearance...
--Mike
Heh.......that guy Gary scared me.....he definitely had a menacing aura around him.....

Nah, Wilco sounds more like a dollop of Disco Biscuit, a dash of moe., a touch of Phish and a sprinkling of Widespread then water it down with some Peter Cetera and there you go.

there STILL isn't a single show from '84 or '86. With this new Road Trips thing going strong there MUST be a show or two from those years that is worthy.
I knows a guy who claims very strongly that '84 is a fantastic year. I'll see if I can dig up his list of best shows from that year....

I'm nowhere near easily offended but that hand picture bordered on obscene.
-
Bingo. It was TOO real for me. Creeped me out big time.
Yep!

"Signs" really got me
"The Ring" as well.
"Henry-Portrait of a Serial Killer" I saw that when it came out. I wont watch that again.
"Night of the Living Dead" Saw that when I was a kid. I cant watch now, even as an adult.

I'm a dissenter on this one. Didn't think much of it, don't understand the hype. But honestly, with the exception of The Royal Tenenbaums, which I thought was fantastic, I can't say Wes Anderson's stuff does anything for me.
I saw Bottlerocket at the theater when it came out. Still dont know what the buzz was all about. None of Andersons stuff has rocked my world.

My brother is a successful graduate of Americorps. He used his fluent Spanish language skills to counsel Mexican migrant workers of their rights regarding housing, wages, trouble with the law, etc. He drove all over Wisconsin visiting migrant camps. He's proud of the good work he did there and rightly so. Eff this bachmann broad, she's an insult to this country and what it stands for.

Maybe he's just trying to write another verse to one of his songs?
Oh, where have you been, my blue-eyed son?
Oh, where have you been, my darling young one?
I been to the childhood homes of Neil Young and John Lennon,
I been tryin' to find the home where the Boss wrote Born to Run,
I been wanderin' around like a delusional vagrant,
I've been questioned n' detained n' forced to prove who I was,
While the rain was a'pourin' and my sweats they were soakin',
Where the cop was a youngin' who didn't know her Dylan,
It's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard,
It's a hard rain that did fall
HEH!

Trulse?
-
I generally find Courtney Love to be repulsive and annoying
Thats why I was surprised to find her so palatable in that flick.
-
She was pretty good in that flick about the Hustler guy. I was actually surprised at her acting skills......and her hotness was an added bonus.
-
Meh?

Jeff's quote, pertaining to this song in a Rolling Stone article, said how he felt so "beaten down after 8 crappy years" (that's pretty close, from what I remember),
Amen to that, I can attest to being f'n exhausted by those 8 crappy years. What a nightmare.
And the fact that Obama is continuing a number of policies implemented during those 8 crappy years makes me sad and even more tired.

Hotel Chelsea!!!

I'm shocked that "Attack of the Mushroom People" or "Attack of the Giant Leeches" haven't been mentioned yet.
What IS IT with you people anyways?!?
I need a drink.

I remember having a party that night and that show was the soundtrack for the party. I taped it off XRT and havent listened to it since. Perhaps I should.

Larry and Charlie were the ones for me. Why he let those guys go is anyone's guess...
