That is what it's called. Look at the album cover. There are no ellipses.

In a way, the subject of album titles is an interesting look into how Wilco operates. They're a band that goes way above and beyond on things most other bands don't even bother with. In addition to great music and (usually) great album packaging, they have their own label, their own festival, their own fully equipped and staffed studio and rehearsal space, they are always on the lookout for new and interesting equipment, they try their best to perform in the most beautiful venues in each city, and then promote them with frame-worthy posters, they change their setlists every night and often t

I had the same thought when I heard that. -

Is Trump even choosing the songs? Or is G.E. Smith trolling the shit out of the convention? Between Eminence Front, Station to Station, You Can't Always Get What You Want, Limelight, and most of the comically bad "insert generic ____ type song here" type of filler songs I've heard, I believe the latter. -
My take on their album names: A.M. = Morning. A starting point, or a new start. A little on the nose, but a suitable name for the first album by a band that intends to stick around for a while. Being There = Named after a mostly forgotten movie. That works. Summerteeth = The Punchline of a "maybe you had to be there for it to be funny" type of joke. Is that their take on conceptual continuity? You had to be(ing) there? YHF = a reference to Tweedy's interest in ham radio. Perfectly fine album name. AGIB = No idea what, if anything, this references. Sounds a bit mysterious, and t

None of those are stupid, and Yesterday...and Today is about as suitable a title for a compilation album that includes "Yesterday" as there could possibly be. What would be a better title for that?

They needed a non-blonde white woman. ANY non-blonde white woman. For diversity. -
I have it. That is what it sounds like. Worthy of one spin, and that's about it.

For reference, that turntable (without the Wilco graphics) retails for $399.

Came here to say exactly the same. -
Then, yeah, I guess Pence being albino is plausible.

Can wood be albino?

Even funnier than the non-endorsement was the fact that he had been allotted ten minutes, but stretched it to 23 minutes. Filibustering the RNC. I approve of that. What was the point of the lady from NASA? The GOP is not going to renew the space shuttle program, or increase NASA funding. -
Surely the price for colored vinyl raw materials is higher than black. Some pressing plants will not press 180g colored vinyl. Like these folks: http://gottagrooverecords.com/vinyl-colors/ "We do not press 180 gram color vinyl. 180 gram vinyl is only available in audiophile black vinyl."

Ok, I'm sold. Wilco has always had tossed-off album names. Fortunately, they've been on a roll with the music, so that makes up for it.

Apparently, Norovirus has broken out at the convention. Shit and barf everywhere. Not sure how anyone noticed, since that's basically their party platform, but that's what is being reported. -
I'll be that guy: Wilco (The Album) Star Wars Schmilco Wilco is falling into a pattern of lazy album titles. I prefer bands come up with their own shit. I can't fault them on the quality of the music, however, and that's the main thing that matters. But still, it's all part of the package, and I prefer none of it be lazy.

Apparently this jackass has never heard of Arabic numerals. -
Steve Gunn's new stuff sounds pretty good. Looks like the guitarist from Tweedy is in his band. http://www.cbsnews.com/videos/saturday-sessions-steve-gunn-performs-ancient-jules/

I've still only heard one song (Wire), which was really good. I went out and bought a bunch of albums this weekend, including Omni and Car Seat Headrest (and some older stuff). Didn't get around to listening to any of them, unfortunately.

Just discovered a really good new local band. Omni. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJzl4LIfkG0

So far, I've only heard Victor, but I love a song with smokin' drum breaks. I'll be picking this album up this weekend.

His previous record is on my Amazon wishlist. Can't remember where or when I heard about him, but I should give him a listen..
-
That sounds like something I'd enjoy. I will give that a listen.

I heard Theologians at Carroll Street cafe in Atlanta the other night. I always hear Wilco when I go there, More of a surprise was the Loose Fur song (can't remember the name of it...but it's from the second record) that came on after it.
