DAUGHTRY
Only band in that entire list I'd want to see.

I was pretty disappointed in this piece. Great premise ... poor execution.
no lie

"don't"
I found over 100, so I'm not going to do that one.

Last year there was no problem getting tickets at the show. If not from the venue then from people who had extras etc. Also if you get to the show just a little bit early you will have no problem getting up close. We got there about an hour before and ended up 2nd row.

Just got an email from MMJ website yesterday. Their set at Lolla will be with the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra.
Their last show in Chicago included the symphony for 3-4 songs and it was really good.
Oh wow that is going to be incredible.

Interesting article. Cool info about LNGCA and other bonus songs. But the "Tweedy Beats Addiction, Releases Mellow, Intimate Album" headlines are getting out of control, can they stop talking about rehab, it was like 3 years ago at this point. And I would definitely love to hear the O'Rourke mix, and Jeff Tweedys iPod. Good to know the album will be available at Starbucks too

This is going to be off the chain...most likely the best $60 I have or ever will spend.
-
What a talented bastard. That was awesome. I need to figure out how to catch him on this tour.

Judy is a Dick Slap - Belle and Sebastian

PASSWORD: iheartfricke
Actually, the info page said I'll need to set up a username and password when purchasing tickets. I wonder if that's the new way?
Hmm...I saw that too. I do already have a username and password from previous pre-sales. This is confusing...i'll just go with iheartfricke.
-
Any word on presale passwords, or if we'll even need one?

...wow. I'm so excited about the idea of doing a Pines and Hammerstein back to back trip.
what can folks tell about the vibe of the Pines venue? places to stay? are we having a picnic?
I'm thinking of doing the same thing. Pines last summer was a fantastic show kind of just a big lawn surrounded by trees and this sort of castle-like structure. Don't know exactly where to stay but from what I could tell its kind of in the middle of nowhere.

Fricke is no Lester or Greil, but he's probably the last decent writer left at RS. Why are you so offended by his stuff when, if I had to choose just one word to describe his work, I'd probably tag it "inoffensive?" He writes some snooze-worthy shit, but is that really enough to label him a disgrace?
If you've seen the Wilco movie or any number of music docs featuring interviews with Fricke, you know that he loves himself 100 times more than any of the music he reviews. Honestly, if I had just read his stuff and not seen footage of him talking I would probably just take him for another boring rock journalist. For the majority of his bits in IATTBYH I can't help but notice that he has this dirty smirk because he is so impressed with himself.
-
I saw that on their website on April 1st, i thought it was a joke...is that for sure?
-
Pretty boring article.
P.S. David Fricke is a disgrace to music journalim...and to anyone who has ever had an opinion on something.

Its been DD for a while now, before that Ben and Jerry's. I went to this two years ago it was alright. A lot of its greatness lies in the town of Newport and the general vibe of the event. I'm kind of bummed that Morello is playing this because it means Rage won't be at Lollapalooza. Oh well.

Bank of America Pavilion - Ew

I just assumed it was poor technique on my part....i dunno.
Technique is for suckers...just ask Nels.

save 2 or 3 songs, this album is painfully boring...imho of course
