  1. Hahaha -- truth. There's also evidently a "Gimme Tinnitus" MP3 blog out there. Sorry for the confusion, everyone The vibe down front was great -- nearly everyone was up from the get-go, other than the front center row, and even they were dancing in their seats.
  2. Alrighty, my full set of photos is finally up... Debrief // Wilco at the Wang Theatre, Boston // Sept. 20, 2011
  3. Ha! It was actually on the setlist. Encore was planned to be 6 songs long -- I believe it was Jesus and Via Chicago that got cut.
  4. Certainly one of the shortest Wilco sets I've seen, but it was up there with my favorites. Will post a link with more photos later, but here's one for now...
  5. Here are some shots from the show... Photos - Wilco at the Bushnell - Hartford, CT Quite the entertaining night in the pit, to say the least. Definitely the first time I've seen someone with the stones to smoke up in the *front row*, and then somehow have the wherewithal to talk his way out of being thrown out for it. Mrs. Doubtfire was actually very nice to most down front (she even let a little girl up to the front of the stage to show off a Go Wilco! sign), but the staff was clearly ill-prepared to deal with a rock show crowd.
  6. Here's where I got the info on Hartford ticket price (Higher Ground is promoting CT/NH, as they did the Northeast ballpark shows this summer). I've got a message in to the venue to confirm, will let you all know if I hear otherwise. http://www.highergroundmusic.com/calendar/show/3388/ Lupo's tix are mostly $35 ($42.50 for reserved mezzanine), so $35 sounds likely for Hartford as well.
  7. Even better: shows are listed as "An evening with WILCO."
  8. Here's another quick Q&A with Mikael. Really looking forward to seeing Pronto in NoHo... 5 Questions With... Mikael Jorgensen
  9. Here's a more direct link to the actual fan Q&A with Ed from Radiohead... http://www.citizeninsane.eu/media.html
  10. If this hasn't already been posted... Andrew Bird is listed as the opener on the Tanglewood site. Fuuuuuuck yes. General on-sale next Friday.
  11. Nice shots! A few of mine are up on Metromix.com... Metromix Connecticut :: Wilco And since a bunch weren't included (and others are a bit over-processed), I posted a few more here: Wilco :: New Haven :: 2/24/08
  12. Great, great set last night. Some of my photos are up on Metromix.com... Metromix Connecticut :: Wilco And since a bunch weren't included (and others are a bit over-processed), I posted a few more here: Wilco :: New Haven :: 2/24/08 And finally, nice review of the show here from Eric Danton at the Hartford Courant... Review: Wilco in New Haven
  13. There is a drop-down list of songs on the request page for the upcoming tour... I'd have to guess that this is the baseline for what you can expect to hear during the residency? Request a Song for the Upcoming Tour
  14. I seriously cannot recommend the Winterpills album enough -- if you're into atmospheric indie-folk type stuff, they're about as good as it gets... 1. Spoon // Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga 2. Winterpills // The Light Divides 3. LCD Soundsystem // Sound Of Silver 4. Radiohead // In Rainbows 5. Deerhoof // Friend Opportunity 6. Feist // The Reminder 7. The New Pornographers // Challengers 8. Andrew Bird // Armchair Apocrypha 9. Okkervil River // The Stage Names 10. Wilco // Sky Blue Sky Honarable Mentions... Ted Leo/Rx // Living With the Living The National // Boxer Maritime // Heresy And The Hotel Choir

    wtf!!!!!!!!

I did get New Haven tickets this morning, so they were definitely out there. Good luck with the regular on-sales this weekend; I know that the Schubert does a pre-sale for their "Advance Buyers Club," but I'm on their email list and haven't seen any mention of a presale for the general public...
  16. I heard it was for VH1 Online. They are evidently doing a new series of live shows with behind-the-scenes footage and allowed Wilco to choose which date to film -- they chose Pines. Cat Power is supposed to be the first in the series. That's all I've got.
  17. Tix for Pines tonight are now back to being available online (and will supposedly be available at the door)...
  18. Honestly, I think they'll be crazy lucky to make the top 5 -- SBS was nowhere to be seen in the "big box" circulars around here, so it doesn't seem like the label is making much of a retail push to speak of. The iTunes/digital sales numbers will definitely help a bit though, and they actually seem to be getting more press than Linkin Park and Maroon 5 combined these days. This is probably the toughest one to predict out of the last few releases... but I'm guessing around #9.
  19. The problem is that the NoHo Box Office is IHEG's own ticketing agency. I can see a service fee of a few bucks to cover expenses of running ticketing, but this seems extreme. If anything, you'd think that operating in such a small market they would give their patrons a break on fees to encourage them to come out to shows. There's just no excuse for slapping an $8.50 service charge on your own tickets. At $90 for a pair, I have to pass as well.
  20. Elvis Perkins in Dearland -- my favorite find of '06. These guys are *incredible* live. Debut album out on XL in late Feb. if you aren't one of the lucky few who picked up a copy at shows or through Insound this year before they were signed. www.elvisperkins.net
  21. Full setlist, courtesy of Eric Danton from the Hartford Courant (who is a huge DBT supporter)... The Truckers' set list: 1. "Heathens" 2. "Marry Me" 3. "Goddamn Lonely Love" 4. "Puttin' People on the Moon" 5. "Space City" 6. "Lookout Mountain" 7. "Never Gonna Change" 8. "Feb 14" 9. "Gravity is Gone" 10. "The Night G.G. Allin Came to Town" 11. "Easy on Yourself" 12. "Aftermath USA" 13. "Cottonseed" 14. "Sinkhole" 15. "Moonlight Mile" 16. "Ronnie and Neil" 17. "Daddy's Cup" 18. "Dead, Drunk and Naked" 19. "Guitar Man Upstairs" 20. "Road Cases" Encore 21. "Dress Blues" 22. "The Living Bubba
