I wanted the U.S. to win, but you would have to be a serious asshole to root that hard against Ghana. A small fraction of Americans have any feelings at all about the World Cup, but for a small African nation, it's gigantic. Ghana played a great game, and the U.S. team was not really that hot this time around.

I am awake, and I am upset too about the extermination of the middle class in this country. I myself am on the leading edge of those who grew up middle class but are being dragged into working poor. What's the plan for reversing the wealth disparity? Redistributing it? Outlawing capitalism? Making people who vote Republican who don't make over $100,000 a year get their head examined? Restoration of Eisenhower-era tax brackets?

Shutting off America from the rest of the world economically isn't a feasible solution. We are part of the global community now and forever, and we had better hustle our asses.

What about the Army, Navy and Air Force? And I fucking HATE Big Brother. I take the point above that as more proof that Obama is, foreign policy wise at least, not as left as some would paint him to be.
