  1. LSD was originally used in psychotherapy; therapists reported some pretty good results with it. I will say, as I have said, that I didn't really appreciate nature, art and love until I took acid. That said, I believe that it should be used sparingly, in the right circumstances, in the proper environment and with people you trust. And it's not for everybody. (Different than saying "not for anybody.")
  2. My take on hallucinogens is that they're like a stress test for your mind. If something's wrong up in there, it will come out when you're tripping. With Ecstasy, it's known that it causes the brain to dump a goodly portion of neurotransmitters at once and if that is done repeatedly, it permanently alters brain chemistry, and not in a good way. So, my advice to anyone reading is be careful with those kinds of things.
  3. Cocaine and any kind of opiate are exceedingly physically addictive. Weed is psychologically addictive - if you're out of supply, you will be cranky, but you won't have a "Trainspotting" kind of episode. Same goes for 'shrooms and acid and X, but if you do those on a regular basis for any length of time, you run a serious risk of going insane.
  4. Pot, 'shrooms and acid are the hippie axis of drugs; coke is more of a drug for people who aren't hippies, although it really wasn't that way back in the old days.
  5. I just got a press release in THAT VERY SAME FONT!
  6. Yeah. If I want to listen to a Kate Bush album, I'll go listen to a Kate Bush album.
  7. The above was a very popular option about 35-40 years or so ago.
  8. It's possible, but they also said back in the '70s that Aaron's record would stand forever. So you never know. And what in the name of Mordecai Brown is "VORP"?
  9. Damn. Can't believe its been like 16 years since that came out. I bought the CD - it was packaged in those cardboard extended CD box things, it was so long ago. And if I recall correctly, I went to the record store on the back of a mule and played it on a CD player I made myself out of straw and mud.
  10. Best wishes from myself and the Giant Hogweed!
  11. Joe Ausanio, an ex-Yankees pitcher who played with Boggs, told me a similar story once. Me, I would hate to have to use an airplane toilet that much.
  12. I could be wrong, but I don't think anyone in Quebec gives a shit about the Blue Jays, or baseball in general. And, obviously, I dispute the lumping in of the entire upstate New York region as Yankeestan.
  13. I wonder if they'll ever play Crack the Sky again?
  14. In a defiant last move in a recent losing game of Scrabble, I used the word "adz."
  15. I had an awesomely well-executed burger last night at a place called Ugly Gus.
  16. Yeah, but can a court order pry that information loose?
