Please join me in my weekly Tuesday affirmation: Crom, I have never prayed to you before. I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you, will remember if we were good men or bad. Why we fought, or why we died. All that matters is that two stood against many. That's what's important! Valor pleases you, Crom... so grant me one request. Grant me revenge! And if you do not listen, then to HELL with you! -

update: NKorea threatens action amid US-SKorean military exercises SEOUL, South Korea (AP) - The North Korean army said Tuesday that continuing U.S.-South Korean military exercises were tantamount to war and threatened to take action, saying the drills rendered "null and void" the armistice that ended the 1950-53 Korean War. The statement from the North's Korean People's Army outpost at the truce village of Panmunjom comes amid renewed concerns that the communist nation is possibly planning to test a nuclear weapon, following its provocative missile launches last month. It's going to be a tough row to hoe for the Giants, starting with the Manning v. Manning opener. But I am guardedly optimistic. If Eli improves and injuries don't play a major role, they should do well.

I'm not really a liberal in the tree-hugging, NPR-listening sense. I'm more of a quasi-libertarian who typically votes for the Democrats because I think that while neither party is really on the side of working-class people like myself, the Dems are slightly more likely to help us out. (I voted for Nader in 2000, in New York, where I figured it wouldn't make a difference.) And I'm not a pacifist either; I was fully in favor of overthrowing the Taliban, as they harbored al-Qaida, which poses a direct and material threat to our American asses. I worry that our Iraq adventure diverted resources f

Truly, necessity is the mother of invention. -
No, I was being serious. I think the overly aggressive neoconservative approach to the use of our nation's military needs to be thoroughly discredited. It's as wrong as segregationalism, flat-earthism and the belief that Neil Armstrong never landed on the moon.

I opposed the Iraq war from the beginning. The Democrats, by and large, decided to go the way of the wussy.
-
And Iraq squandered the moment of goodwill much of the world had for us post-Sept. 11. Stupidest thing this country's ever done. I pray to God that the Democrats get control of at least one house of Congress so all these neocon shitheads can be crucified before the nation and the world.

Yep. I recall one time making a screen out of a bit of Sprite can and the pointy end of a compass. -

That was sort of a last resort in my neighborhood, when the DairyMart was closed and you couldn't get rolling papers. -
Stupid is as stupid does, and Iraq is the stupidest thing this country's ever done.

Me too. And I don't think there is a way to avoid the gap on stuff you get from iTunes. If you're ripping your own CD, you can set it so it rips it in one big file, which is good for classical music and stuffs like that.
