I used to be a big fan of From Good Homes but just can't get into Railroad Earth....Todd Sheaffer is a great talent though....

If they are right it helps them become more legitimate?

I kind of feel that way too?? They are the only ones reporting it for the last 15 minutes?! Still it can't be good..

Sigur Ros (Esp Vidrar Vel, track 7 on Ageatis) and Elliott Smith will do...

Nice setlist. I hope Shouldn't be Ashamed becomes a regular! I wonder when Wilco is going to do a three night run in NYC...have they ever?

I kind of get where they are coming from but this seems a little crazy. Could be worse if people don't know where they are going?! http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/21/new-jersey-bill-aims-to-ban-drivers-use-of-gps-while-driving/?icid=main|htmlws-main|dl4|link6|http%3A%2F%2Fwww.autoblog.com%2F2009%2F06%2F21%2Fnew-jersey-bill-aims-to-ban-drivers-use-of-gps-while-driving%2F

Plus keep in mind many people in the rest of the USA have to probably go 5 hrs+ to see a Wilco show...I don't think you will get much sympathy here..

Wilco barley plays NJ but I make it work. California's problem is there is no mass transit...you should try to car pool and check out craigslist for lats minute tickets. I am sure you can shave off money that way. I am dreading going out to Brooklyn which may take me up to 2 hours to get to but it will be worth it!

Sorry I have no further information. Things in Vegas are usually different then the rest of the world. I would call the venue to be safe. If there is no opener they may get on very close to 8pm?

I found a great picture stream from Wilco's 7/4/01 show..which was Jay's last with Wilco. I think linking this photo stream is a good tribute to Jay! http://www.flickr.com/photos/peterpreston/...ith/3565590136/

Jay was a cool dude! I loved what he added to Wilco on the albums and definatley in the live setting. I had met Jay maybe 3 times. Two with Wilco and One a one of his solo shows. He was nice, easy to talk to and very cool. When I saw him at the TT Bears at a solo show in Massachusetts I maybe talked to him for 15 minutes. He was delighted to talk about anything. I still to this day believe no other incarnation of Wilco was better than Wilco with Jay Bennett in it. Jay RIP you will be missed.

Been to Moscow or St. Petersburg? Tell me about it!

I have been to Helsinki and Tallin which I loved...that is part of the reason I want to go to Russia because I figured it would be awesome like these two cities...Thanks for the link on the visa. I did hear it is quite a process! -
Looking for someone who has traveled before to Russia. I am thinking about getting on this good deal Delta is having...In Sept it is only $450 r/t to Moscow from NYC (Thats with the taxes)! So I am thinking of heading out to Moscow with a side trip to St.Petersburg. Anyone been? How are the sights? Vodka? Thanks!

Depends how many openers there are. If the ticket says 8pm I would assume Doors are 7 and if there is one opening band they would get on 9-915 and they would play anywhere from 100-130 minutes...
-
Apparently almost 100 Million votes came in for the final so I would assume people are watching it!

Montreal is awesome! GO! Old City and Science Museum is great! Streets are fun, great bars, shopping etc! Also crepes are awesome!
