  1. It isn't that small! I saw a bunch of concerts there...Stripes, Beck, Sigur Ros..it is actually quite large and a seat in the stands is quite far from the stage. Don't meant o be a buzzkill but it is not as small as everyone thinks it is... http://www.flickr.com/photos/joshbousel/35597908/ This picture shows the outfield wall at the Stadium...412'!!! That is the equivalent of seeing a concert at a football stadium if you are sitting behind the plate....
  2. I saw them once in concert on the Psycho Circus Tour which was 3-d. I had third row seats, I caught a pick from Paul Stanley and I had a good time! Kiss is a fun band and everyone should see them live once....that being said I do not own any of their albums or no much more than the hits...
  3. I wouldn't call it cozy. Saw Dylan/Nelson there. It was packed and chaotic. From the one lane road to enter to the mass of people on the floor and in the stands it was more people than the stadium is used to holding or handling. Still a great time but not soo cozy!
  4. I know your pain. I had my computer crash just about 2 months ago and lost my collection. I was partially prepared as I had an external hardrive with about 11,000 songs on it. I still was missing about 2,000 or so but found some of the cds scattered around my house and had to repurchase about 20 (thanks half.com...cheap cds weeee!) of them. Something to remeber for next time (myself included)...fully back up all your songs on a external hard drive! I can not stress this enough as it will save you a major headache later! Good luck in finding the rest of the items you are looking for!
  5. I have seen Radiohead about 10 times, Pearl Jam 2 times and DM about 5...I liked most of my Depeche shows better than the last Pearl Jam and Radiohead show I saw. It didn't help though the last time I saw Radiohead I was a mile away. Pearl Jam could be better than DM but I think it all comes down to setlist.
  6. I may be the only person on this board to say it but Depeche Mode are great and are awesome live! I would go for Depeche, Killers, BOH etc...
  7. Not that I know of but from what I understand he lives in NYC most of the year so he usually isn't in Athens. Cool about Buck though!
  8. I just got a pm spam from angelikzusa ..instantly deleted and blocked...this is become more frequent!
  9. Well it was built in 1972. If this was the first instance of them being blown off I would say it is a pretty safe window. I again don't know the full history of the building but do know building departments don't usually act with the most common sense. My example was just to note that replacing the blown out windows with the same ones they originally had would keep up with the looks of the building. The example of the bumper was just to show that the new bumper on the car would be inconsistent with the desired look. Also I think the example I gave is more relevant than you may think. If your
  10. I would think the blown out windows are more dangerous than replacing them. If it was so dangerous they should be forced to remove all the windows on the building and replcae them. If you had an antique car lets say and the bumper fell off and you now had to replace it with a bumper made in 2009 that doesn't go with the look of the car wouldn't you be upset? I work day to day with municipalities in real estate and the red tape and logic of some of these boards are a little nutty.
  11. That is stupid if that is the code! The stuff should be grandfathered...politics and red tape at its best!
  12. Yikes..should have been a relatively easy repair
  13. We do have Central Park you know? Yeah they don't really need to go that high but I think something should be in its place. It really was the heart of Downtown Commerce. There has got to be a good way to incorporate both though?
  14. Yeah..Speaking of which did they ever replace all the shatered windows at the Westin Peach Tree from that tornado?
  15. Yeah but the World Trade Center was 7 buildings not just 1! Anyway things are going verrrrrry slowly...
  16. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090416/ap_on_...s_redevelopment I can't believe how ridiculous this is! Here we are 8 years later and nothing has been done. Yeah the real estate market sucks now. But what about the previous 7 years? Nothing has been doneQ Why don't they build now and by the time they are finished the market may be better? I figure once they start building it will take a 3-5 years to complete. So now they are not going to build because the economy is uncertian??? I think we need this to help restore NYC and show its strength of the people! Also didn't the WTC's owners get billio
  17. I would assume all the ball park shows are GA...
  18. Can your car go 150 MPH!? Can I get a ride? I love my car too, but this is a great alternative.....Also Amtrak currently is awful, expensive and slow...
  19. http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/04/16/obama.rail/index.html I love Europe's trainsportation system and dependence on trains...I believe this is a great model to strive for. I am all for this! Every train I have rode in Europe is fast and reliable and was relatively reasonable.
  20. Art Park, Lewiston is near Buffalo.. It was a pleasant show once we got there...bring along the nephew! And no it isn't wrong to cut the trip a little short
  21. I used to work at my college radio station and we would get copies of discs sometimes months before the release. It can be as easy as some reviewer or radio station getting a hold of a disc early and leaking it.
  22. They had a tarp on the Diamond. The Field was open and GA as were the seats. You could go from the floor to the seats no problem at the Dylan/Nelson show. I would guess that show had 12-15,000 people in attendence. Dylan didn't sell out that show if I remember correctly. Traffic getting into the show was nuts because it was off a 1 lane road.
  23. Dutchess Stadium is huge I saw Nelson/Dylan there...I don't see this selling out (Its not far from the show that was in Beacon..lucky them two shows in 1 year yet none in Manhattan?!). Also Keyspan Park is huge too! Wow! I am speachless.
  24. They can't please everyone..I understand it.... but would it be great if they could please me (Setlist wise) Kidding...
