I was impressed with Havens guitar playing and I did like Guys voice...very soulful. I was really excited about MCGwinn as I love the way he plays guitar! Arlo was not my thing but still was glad I saw him. What did you used to do for them?

Hope you have a great day! Happy Birthday!

I must admit it I did feel very out of place at this show. Most of the artist that got the biggest reception (Baez, Havens) were artist before my time but I still sppreciated the magnitude and huge variety of artist. Some included: Arlo Gutherie Billy Bragg Joan Baez Richie Havens Rambling Jack Elliott Roger MCGwinn (With Band of Horses!! They did Turn Turn Turn which was aweosme!) Tom Morrell Toshi Rogan Ani DiFranco Ben Harper Dave Matthews John Mellencamp Bruce Springsteen (With Tom Morrello) Dar Williams Bela Fleck Michael Franti Pete and Peggy Seeger Patterson Hood Guy Davis Bruce Cock

Nice..I am sitting behind the stage at Nassau...hoping for an E Street Shuffle or Blinded by the Light!

Umm there is a developing story on cnn.com now about a member of Obama's team who visited Mexico may have the Swine Flu! http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2009/...al-mexico-trip/ Later it says the individual recovered..hmmm the news changes by the second!

He should Play Streets of Philadelphia more..he almost never plays it...Kitty's Back is awesome! I will be at the Seeger Tribute Sunday and Monday show at Nassau! Wee!

I know how you feel. When was the last time Wilco played Manhattan? They only played Brooklyn and they are playing Brooklyn again recently and now they are playing Upstate NY for a second time in awhile (Counting Jeff's solo show). Now I don't necessary think they lost their roots I just can't figure out why they hate on Mnahattan so much.. Updated...Wilco last played at the Hammerstein which was June 07..it also was only 1 show and that one sold out in about 2 minutes..

Brooklynvegan is just a great music blog. No other connection except the head guy running the webpage is a vegan. Some things to consider when reading the site. It is NY based (YLT is from Hoboken) so people obviously are into their hometown hero's more than Wilco. Also consider 90 percent of the posters are idiots who just like to get people into arguments.

Jay Bennett posts about upcoming surgery
remphish1 replied to Bhickman's topic in Someone Else's Song
Even if Jay doesn't play with them they should do a AM, Being There, Summerteeth, Yankee Hotel show where they play stuff that Jay contributed to in his honor with the proceeds helping Jay out... -
http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20...00.html?cnn=yes I though the Limp Bizkit reunion was a bad idea this is even more painful! Update: Tour dates added http://www.pollstar.com/resultsArtist.aspx...amp;SortBy=Date

Yes and the seats are far from the stage! Aim for GA field...
-
Apollo 18 and John Henry are full band albums and they are classics...I think they are still pretty prolific and consistent...Their last full album (no childrens) The Else was great too...
-
Gibb Droll is awesome! I have seen him live twice and the guy shreds! Do you have Dharma Cd...Circumstantial Blues The last song on that album is incredible!

So like any other show recently

Lily Allen is my guilty pleasure.. I really enjoy her new album and I just saw her in concert this week. Something about women singing in British Accents..
-
It isn't that small! I saw a bunch of concerts there...Stripes, Beck, Sigur Ros..it is actually quite large and a seat in the stands is quite far from the stage. Don't meant o be a buzzkill but it is not as small as everyone thinks it is... http://www.flickr.com/photos/joshbousel/35597908/ This picture shows the outfield wall at the Stadium...412'!!! That is the equivalent of seeing a concert at a football stadium if you are sitting behind the plate....
-
I saw them once in concert on the Psycho Circus Tour which was 3-d. I had third row seats, I caught a pick from Paul Stanley and I had a good time! Kiss is a fun band and everyone should see them live once....that being said I do not own any of their albums or no much more than the hits...
-
I wouldn't call it cozy. Saw Dylan/Nelson there. It was packed and chaotic. From the one lane road to enter to the mass of people on the floor and in the stands it was more people than the stadium is used to holding or handling. Still a great time but not soo cozy!

I know your pain. I had my computer crash just about 2 months ago and lost my collection. I was partially prepared as I had an external hardrive with about 11,000 songs on it. I still was missing about 2,000 or so but found some of the cds scattered around my house and had to repurchase about 20 (thanks half.com...cheap cds weeee!) of them. Something to remeber for next time (myself included)...fully back up all your songs on a external hard drive! I can not stress this enough as it will save you a major headache later! Good luck in finding the rest of the items you are looking for!

I have seen Radiohead about 10 times, Pearl Jam 2 times and DM about 5...I liked most of my Depeche shows better than the last Pearl Jam and Radiohead show I saw. It didn't help though the last time I saw Radiohead I was a mile away. Pearl Jam could be better than DM but I think it all comes down to setlist.

I may be the only person on this board to say it but Depeche Mode are great and are awesome live! I would go for Depeche, Killers, BOH etc...

Not that I know of but from what I understand he lives in NYC most of the year so he usually isn't in Athens. Cool about Buck though!
