  1. Yeah maybe so (Forgot about those shows) but they played 5 shows in that tiny venue! Everytime they play a tiny venue in NYC it is usually invite only (Unplugged 2 etc...)
  2. I had free backstage pass/tickets to Lollopalooza in 1996 in Syracuse NY....my parents wouldn't let me go. I missed the Ramones, Ben Folds Five, Soundgarden and Metallica... Only one of those bands still exist and it is the one I don't care about!

  4. Hmm I guess I can understand. I started getting into REM in 1991 so our time frame is different. I wasn't into them when they were touring behind all of those IRS albums. I just really got into REM when Monster came out and that was one of the albums that hooked me into them. I was excited to hear all the songs from the 90's live. Even though I was just getting into the 80's stuff at the time I didn't care because that was the album that I was playing the most at the time. Now when I see a show from an artist I like and they don't throw a good random song or two in from the back catelog I get
  5. What tour did you see them on last? Why was it such a bad show(Set list, sound, other influences)? I have seen REM 10 times and maybe 1 was subpar...at that show though the soun was poorly mixed. I still enjoyed it though... I saw Neil Young on the Horde Fest in 97 and I was bored beyond belief. The 15 minute version of Down By The River in a 75 minute set didn't do it for me...
  6. Wow...what I would have given to be at any of those Dublin REM shows. Those gems were played in what a 3,000 capicity club? REM haven't played a place that small in the USA for decades and those setlist were killer! West of the Fields, 1,000,000 , Khoutech, Second Guessing...even if you didn't like accelerate I don't know how you couldn't like that show. Knowing what In know now I would have done whatever I can to go to those shows at whatever expense! Also Springsteen for the Seeger session I enjoyed immesnley. I have seen Springsteen on every tour since Tom Joad and I realized it wasn't th

  12. Hey all, As you may or may not know I got the itch to constantly travel. I found a deal to goods to pass up. So in November for $239 R/T (That's after taxes) I booked a ticket to Barcelona from NYC. I decided since airfar is cheap in Europe too to follow that up with a trip to Rome, Venice, and Milan. I haven't been to any of these cities before and Iw as hoping you would share your recommendations of where to stay, eat, what to see or anything else you would like to share!

  15. I like top tickets not exceeding $100. Thats nice. As good as U2 is at their pricing with cheaper seats near the stage are still tons of tickets over $100 which puts a good majority of tickets that go onsale out of reach to the average fan.
  16. I bought a $60 ticket for Springsteen at Nassau....what do you mean he bumped it to $100? Most Springsteen tickets on this tour range from $55-95
  17. U2 on Good Morning America This morning, U2 played a short gig for Good Morning America. It took place on the steps of Keating Hall at Fordham University in New York. The setlist was: 1. Get On Your Boots 2. Magnificent 3. Crazy Tonight The band took a short break and then returned to play: 4. Beautiful Day 5. Breathe 6. Vertigo Before Crazy Tonight, Bono remarked that U2 had gotten into a band to get out of going to university. This was followed by some banter about what Larry would have majored in had he gone to university, and about Adam's current obsession with filming things. The
