Smashing Pumpkins to play Horseshoe Casino
Duck-Billed Catechist replied to LouieB's topic in Someone Else's Song
Heh! -
I heard that the Cubs were DFAing Vizcaino instead of Cotts to bring up Smardizja or however you spell his name.
-
That's my understanding.

Yeah, because the batting average for balls in play is almost .400 and is most often around .300 over the course of the year for most pitchers. http://www.fangraphs.com/graphs.aspx?playe...7&type=full

Taking the hipsters to school

Fair enough. For the record, my plan is to resent them. -

I'm fascinated that your response is that they're not in true biker gangs...who cares. -
It has to do with his successful (read: low ERA) stint in the majors in 2008, but it also has to do with the fact that he played football at nearby Notre Dame. So far as I can tell. Edit: I guess the Cubs have always been high on him because he throws hard. They gave him a lot of money. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2736354

The Official Bob Dylan Thread

Edit: Been helped. Thank you! -
He had a great year in 2005. He had a hitch in his delivery that fooled batters, but he had to get rid of it because it was putting too much pressure on his hip or something.

Ben Gordon is a very bad boy. Edit: And I'm tired of superstar calls.

Have we got a spammer in our midst?
Duck-Billed Catechist replied to Sweet Papa Crimbo's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
There's a thread in Speakers Speaking in Code on this. There's a bug in the board software that's allowing PM spammers and IPB is apparently working on it. -

Wow. Those dogs remind me of the Christian the lion vid.

When I lived in Rogers Park my dog (a black chow) was a big hit in the neighborhood. People loved him. One woman even wanted a picture of him. One dude wanted to know how old the dog was. I told him and said "But he's a soul brother, right?" and gave the black power salute. Awesome.

Former NIN drummer offers unique fan expierences?!
Duck-Billed Catechist replied to remphish1's topic in Someone Else's Song
Missing from the story was how a 19 year-old high school student comes up with that kind of scratch when he doesn't think that his broke friends will buy him anything. Heh. -
http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/9455118...3162&ATT=49 White Sox resign Scott Podsednik. LOL. I assume this as DeWayne Wise's eventual replacement as the fourth/fifth outfielder. He better not be taking away ABs from Brian Anderson--he's not a good fielder.

Try to keep up, Petey!

I was concerned that Carlos Quentin's wrist injury might diminish his power. Apparently not.

It wasn't, but that's the way the cookie crumbles. Obviously I haven't seen the flick. -

I didn't think it was that funny when you left.
