I believe he would still have that power unless he resigned or was impeached. http://www.pioneerlocal.com/hinsdale/news/...0908-s1.article -

My stepsister worked for his first campaign and in his labor department. He was privately discussing the presidency during his first term, from what I understand. Of course, a lot of politicians aspire to the presidency. -

There's no parallel. The parallel would be if he cloned himself. Then you would say there are two Ludacrises, not two Ludicrouses. Or something like that. -

My understanding is that Daley traffics in power (which involves money for other people), not in money for himself. He had been so blatant about finding a golden parachute job for himself in exchange for favors, then he would've been nailed long ago. -

I've always wondered if he had a piece. So fraud, perhaps. I read the stuff in the complaint on the senate seat...he is screwed. -

The senate seat stuff begins on page 56 of the complaint, btw. -

So he's being arrested not for his past crimes, but more recent ones. -
Well, it is nice to see that she didn't break her pelvis or something (apparently).

I heard on the radio that BoA is saying that they have no control of how the company uses their credit (which is not what the company said) and that they are honoring the credit agreement. So it could be a case of a smaller company (small compared to BoA) trying to push off responsibility and poor-mouthing the workers. -

I think the workers should be paid first, but I'm not sure why BoA should be required to throw money away (if the company was about to go bankrupt and they would not get it back). Then again, in a post-bailout world, I have no idea how we're supposed to prioritze need, obligation, etc. -

I don't know what the solution is. State law says that they have to pay the workers. It's possible that they would have money do to that eventually by selling their assets. Maybe BoA could give them credit based on that. -

Didn't the factory lay off all their workers? I think the company is closing. -
I mean, for instance, American Express is becoming a bank holding company to firm up its bottom line--I don't think they're getting out of the credit card business. Goldman Sachs is looking into offering online savings accounts--I don't think that will be the bulk of their business. http://topics.nytimes.com/top/news/busines...?inline=nyt-org I guess it's not yet clear--you could be right.

Wouldn't that likely just be throwing money away by BoA*? *I have not read anything about this story, but saw something about it on the news. -
Yes, the first word in the statement "hole pwned" is proper internet syntax for describing in what manner she was pwned.

Looked like a nasty, nasty fall. I call BS, though, pending some evidence.

True. I was thinking that I might want to put some videos on it. How is the video rendering? I used to run a ROM site with some friends, but back then it was all stuff for outdated systems that no one made games for anymore.
-
Now that is neat, though unethical. Would you recommend the modified version that will support the larger, micro SDHC cards (but isn't supported by the manufacturer)?
-
Pwned is often used with a preceeding noun that acts like a slang adverb or something like that. I used the phrase "Geography pwned" the other day.

I wasn't so much advancing the idea that the campaign donations were the true reason, only that they could be what Jules was referring to. Really, I don't think it's hard to make the argument that the banks are more politically connected than the automakers at this point. Also, I think the bolded part of your statement (especially about Goldman) is really disingenuous. I know next to nothing about banking, but my understanding is that the rules were changed in order to allows the i-banks to also be regular banks so that they could raise capital. Goldman, so far as I know, will still continu
